Aliens is rock solid in my book. I saw it before Alien and at a young time when I wasn't caught up with who wrote or directed it. Excellent movie!

Aliens was great! Alien is still above and beyond it, but Aliens was fantastic. As my name suggests, those 2 guys made the movie, I always wanted to be Hudson. The guy went from pompous ass, to scared child, to what he claimed to be (the ultimate badass, firing away as he was dragged to his death). Hicks was the guy everyone wanted to be in that movie, calm cool, and collected, the everyman who helps save the day.

Great flick, gets a bad wrap unfortunately.

Thanks Hicks/Hudson!While I certainly respect the opinions of those who may not like it very much,I would never argue against their point of view, but that it precisely why I've created this forum.I also encourage those who may not like it very much to tell me what they do like about it.

My favorite film of the series

Alien is the best sci-fi horror film ever made imo, and one of my favourite films of all time. My favourite in the series. Artistic perfection meets the perfect production team (and one demanding younger Ridley Scott)

Aliens, a different kind of beast, and the best sci-fi action-horror film ever made imo. So darn thrilling with good pacing, action, horror, acting, cool and quick dialogue. What a roller coaster of dark enjoyment.

If Alien is a delicious British luxury burger, Aliens is the greasy giant and delicious American burger with extra cheese, giant fries and everything.

And as if the experience wasn't enough you're given the unexpected dessert, the Queen. Bam bam thank you ma'am.

Big thumbs up from me

As per Neo

Alien wins on atmosphere, tension and mystery

Aliens wins on action and thrills

Both win on the Characters, RIP Kane and Hudson

Yep Alien nails the mystic aspect, especially the tour through the derelict.

79 Alien is the best to me, but Aliens was fun to watch

I very much enjoyed Aliens, I personally see it as more action, sci/fi moreover than horror (as the first one).

A lot of negativity that I hear about it is the cheese factor being too high - I don't see that as a negative as most top end action packed movies from that time period came with generous helpings of cheesy goodness.

Aliens in it's own right stands among few films and although different from the predecessor (Alien '79, Bro!) is still a great watch to this day.

Count me in for the fan club!

Thank you Nycro!Perhaps I'm just biased, but I'm not even certain what's cheesy about it

Cheese could have been a bad term usage.  More along the lines of zingy one liners.

Well I for one could happily watch Aliens at least once a month for the rest of my life and still never tire of it! As per all the previous comments I agree that the two are completely different films in that Alien is the atmospheric, haunted house film whilst Aliens is all out action however both films have believable characters that you actually care for and will stand the test of time 100 years from now. Here's hoping I thinking the same of AC ( which up to know I think I will )

My favourite is Alien but I love the adrenalin pumping action in Aliens and tough I am not a great fan of the queeen concept I think Aliens brought many valuable ideas and concepts to the Alien universe. To me Alien and Aliens complement each other perfectly. Aliens is one of the few sequels that truly rivals the original. Also after so many years it still hold it's ground. Timeless and topnotch!
