Prequel Films - Yet Another Franchise Going Out Of Order....

Have they learned nothing from the disastrous Star Wars Prequels? Seriously folks, so now Alien: Covenant is next but oops by the way it's actually the third film in this set of Alien Prequels and oh by the way there's going to be an additional trilogy after these before we finally catch up to the original Alien....according to Sir Ridley Scott ....As a life long fan, someone who went opening day to watch Alien in the movie theater, AND have always respected the great work of Ridley Scott  - except for Prometheus which I'm sorry but the screenwriter and acting KILLED - I feel the need to throw down a large BS flag on the play here.

There's such a thing as milking the cow dry and that's exactly what they're doing with this once great mythos. Admittedly, there's been a couple film missteps along the way, Alien 3 - which isn't as horrible as everyone likes to make it out to be, just had far to much interference from the studio  - and again Prometheus. But to now announce that Covenant will be a third film in a "Alien Pre - Prequel" series, and by the way we'll go back and film part 2 of this mess next and then do three more is beyond ridiculous not to mention most of us who have an interest in this story will be long gone before they're even able to get us back to the very beginning! Including, I'm so sorry to say but, Sir Ridley Scott himself! 

I truly hope he was just being snarky when he made these comments! Because in truth, knowing this now makes me not even want to bother with Covenant if it's supposed to be the third of three of which part two hasn't even been made! I mean seriously, why bother?!

I feel like we, the fans and loyal followers of this series, are being taken advantage of by a greedy studio looking to cash in anyway possible on yet another franchise by running it into the ground until all that's left is dust! So very sad.........
