I am pretty sure it wouldn't last in space unless they have some duct tape on the ship.

Is this actually the shuttle, to me it looks more like a giant space pallet jack, carries supplies from/to the shuttle? The shuttle explodes in the trailer too doesn't it?

The cracked windshield is on a different ship (the small cargo freigher) like you mentioned IRaptus.

The dropship/shuttle with Amy Seimetz' character explodes when she accidentally shoots the gas canister as she's trying to hit the lightning quick Neomorph (you can't touch that Mayweather Jr)

As for the cracked windshield, it wouldn't work in reality on a jet airliner traveling at 800+ km/h with the immense aerodynamic forces. Then again I guess the sci-fi factor overrules that here.

Sure, but I think The Covenant ship has at least a few more extra dropships, unless the script says "f*** that, it's not my fault that you stepped on the spore pods"

I am not sure whether or not it is confirmed that someone stays aboard the Covenant.
