Is Neomorph's look and behavior a "tell" that it is actually baby Protomorph?

Both are hyper-aggressive and seem to be quadrupeds lacking the stealthy, bio mechanical traits. Could this whole reproductive process (spore to neomorph to Protomorph) be the natural cycle and origin of the Alien we see in the picture on the wall?

I was under the impression that they are 2 different creatures, one coming from spores and the other from an egg/Facehugger. I could be wrong though.

No, I don't think so. I believe that the Neomorph evolve from the spores that infect the crew. The Protomorph is from Crudup or someone beeing facehugged by one of Davi 8:s friends.

TBH, I am confused enough about nuances and ultimately dismiss differentiating neo/proto/whatever morphs. Go ahead and laugh.

I think they are both different.

But i think we could be shown more than just TWO kinds of Monsters, i am thinking maybe 3 kinds now, with clues to a number of others David has worked on in the past.
