chli, you should ask BigDave about the number of the survivors. :) I'm sure he has answered every question by now and knows the end of the movie. :D

If had to guess, yes.

I think the shower scene, when the xeno attacks, takes place on the Covenant. Then Daniel comes, discovers the bloody aftermath and asks "Where is it?", probly addressing "Walter" (Trailers). That then leads to the lockdown scenes and to the "hunt".

That's how I see it. 

According to the leatest teaser from today "No Survival", I am afraid that there will be no survivors ):

Roger, I found three different titles to that footage and I suspect that it is not official - of course, it is possible that I'm wrong. I saw scenes from the personal messages by Daniels, Oram and Tennessee in it.

It is more premonition mine than anything else. Daniels will die or maybe not for sure. Also Shaw did for nothing, is just trying to find a needle in a haystack.

What I meant in my last post is 4 survivors (excluding the android) on the planet. Not later on the ship, that'll be a typical Alien-style lone survivor thing.

The infected survivor here is the chap with the zeno in him. The protomorph outside the ship will be destroyed before they get back to the covenant. Good point about David destroying Walter and getting on the covenant knowing there is a zeno in waiting! Hopefully there wont be the usual girly survivor but the zeno cant survive because that would mean weyland would have what it wants and not need the the services of the Nostromo crew?

If I had to guess, I'd say a few take the dropship up and leave Daniels and Tennessee, who they might presume dead. But the Xeno/Protomorph gets on board, shower scene, kills everyone and the ship crashes. Then like you guys pointed out, Daniels and Tennessee board the ship with Walter/David to attempt to rid it of the Alien and regroup back on the Covenant. That's the most logical explanation unless there are more than one drop ship. 

That to me looks like the ship Daniels is swinging out of at one point. With Tennesse piloting. All speculation I suppose. Big question for me is who survives. Hopefully it's original and not a girly one!

Yes, Tennessee must have left The Covenant in this rescue ship and pilots it. As you say, Micro, we see Daniels struggling on it with the protomorph. Two more apparently make it to the rescue ship (David? and?). They leave "Paradise" and get back to The Covenant? The shower scene has then already taken place (how did the proto get aboard?) or they bring the proto with them on the rescue ship (believing it's gone) and the shower scene takes place later on (when they think they are safe).

I also wonder if anyone will survive this? Shaw didn't continue as the heroine and a wild guess is that Daniels and Tennessee sacrifice themselves at the end in order to save the sleeping colonists aboard The Covenant. A twist at the end shows that David is still "alive" . . .

I am thinking David and or Walter will survive especially since David has potential for a big story arc. It would be nice to see a human survivor but it would have more impact if all humans died imo.

Well i could give a good run down, as the trailers and information we have does now give us a run down on who dies and roughly when and how....  apart from Lope, Daniels, Tennessee and Walter/David.

But poor Lope gets maybe the most Horrific Death after escaping with just a Scratch.... well as Rosenthall finds out, you may escape one encounter with a few scratches but the second encounter will leave you headless lol

The four people returning to The Covenant might be Tennessee, Daniels, David and Lope (apart from the fifth passenger)?

Hopefully no one survives but David or Walter. Then they take off in the Covenant with all the people in hypersleep.

i reckon that all the crew associated with answering the distress signal will be killed.

all the crew on the lander and the rescue ship.

except david.

i think david will probably impersonate walter to get on the main ship.

i think david sent that signal out knowing the covenant would anser the call.

a:c is set 10yrs after prometheus

covenant is a weyland ship.   the planning of the covenant mission may of been in the final stages when prometheus embarked. this means david would of knew about it and his experiments on the alien were in preparation for the colony ship.

davids plan may of been:

send out the distress call

practice on making perfection

drop ship arrives - once they are nearly all dead "rescue them"

infect the ground crew with latest creations

trick the a.i and impersonate him 

get onto the main ship with no survivors

impersonate walter - crew goes into cryo 

david now has a potential 2000 strong army

any thoughts????

BGO: Yes, I bet the scar is so that we can tell David and Walter apart? Everybody think it's Walter but it's David who takes off in The Covenant with all the colonists in hypersleep at the end?
