Do we think there will be a directors cut?

Im not going to go into chapter and verse as it as all been covered. However I do feel that the editing wasn't the best and I get the impression that a lot was left on the cutting room floor. Fingers crossed we will have a special edition or a plethora of deleted scenes on the blu ray. And just for the record, I really enjoyed the film, each to the their own. It would be a very boring world if everyone had the same opinion. And on a serious side note, big love to my home city of Manchester at this terrible time.

I think there should be some deleted scenes. One involving xenomorph and neomorph sharing screen time and some extra footage featuring James Franco and Billy Crudup.

My thoughts are with all those families.

@rob

Yep there will be, and a special extended edition, and an anniversary edition, and a limited collectors edition. Any way they can get the punters money rolling in!! ;-)

Also yeah bloody awful thing to have happened.

I hope there is a Directors cut that would add more to character development, something that will help make us warm to them bit more.

I agree about Manchester, terrible thing to have happened.

Viddy well, little brother. Viddy well.

Terrible to what happened in Manchester, i was in Birmingham on the 21st going to a GIG, and the amount of Iron Maiden Fans and Simple Minds fans turning up to those Gigs was huge... just shows how cowardly those who do these kind of acts are..

Thoughts and Prayers to those affected by the Horrific Attack in Manchester

As for the OT.... There is a bit of Footage never seen, i think some scenes will not make it... but i hope other cut down scenes will be extended... as a number of scenes was shaved down..  which means we could had been looking at a extra 10-15 minutes.... this does not include complete scenes that never made it like the Prologues, and Daniels/Bronson New York Apartment Flash Back.

so i think there is a 2hr 15-20 Min Cut to be made for sure.

I hope there are lots of deleted scenes that will give more to the characters and, above all, to suspense. The film was a bit rushed.

I think it felt rushed too. I'd love to see a release which included most of the pre-release clips, like the 'last supper' scene.

Director's cut is not for sure but it will hopefully include some deleted scenes in various qualitiy/polish levels.

To be an extended version/directors cut the deleted scenes must be really good and make sense in the context of the whole movie, to present some missing links.

I expect some deleted flashback scenes and some scrapped neo/-xenomorp ones.

Yea it'd be nice if after the opening with David and Weyland, we get swung straight into the Crossing, followed by the deleted scenes showing Daniels and Branson before they leave, followed by the crew's personal videos (minus the planet 4 footage), then straight into the Last Supper, which can then lead us into the rest of the film. That could REALLY help with the lack of character development.

Why every alien movie from Ridley is approximately 2 hrs.People who never watched the prologue will be confused how David got his body.

I don't think the prologue really did anything to convince people how david got his body. shaw took it with her at the end of Prometheus and reattached his head. id take a lot more character building as this film def lacked any form of it. the one bit of deleted footage id want most is the neo-protomorph face off. I think that would be good

Jim Pills Absolutely! Don't forget the bundled version with the Qudrilogy and Prometheus- the Definitive Completest Edition in an elegant box.

@rob clayton - We got Ridley's "director's cut" in the theaters, so I assume you mean an extended cut. I think if Ridley wanted to do one, it would have already been announced. When asked about deleted scene back in May it did not sound like there was anything he thought worth keeping.

Unfortunately there were so little character development in AC which was its weakest point. They should have kept The Last Supper in it.
