Engineers Mother ship

Read it again, I have updated it to hopefully make sense

I wondered how the Juggernaut crashed and I haven't seen the movie yet. By Mother ship do you mean the scorpion looking thing it docked on?

I suspect he 'crashed' it on purpose, to support his tales if/when someone else dropped by, as they eventually did.

I don't think he did crash it himself, even for the reasons you made, if he wanted to experiment and kill humans, he could have warped back to earth, I think things went wrong and his ship was shot or disabled, he lies to everyone, why would he not lie about his rival at that planet, I think he is still hiding something.

Who knows, Walter the robot that was supposed to have been killed or just left behind, may heal himself and follow the colony ship by finding the mother ship / dock, or repairing the crashed ship, warp out of there, awaken some of the crew to have an in flight fight between crew and alien/aliens.

It would be more interesting if on the other hand the mother ship returns and collects Walter and they go after the colony ship and so so again
