So there are at 2 moons from Calpamos (In the Zeta Reticuli system) that have been shown, just thats its a bit confusing as to what is going on with them.
Now LV426 (also called Acheron, and the home of Hadley's Hope) was where Alien and Aliens takes place. (Alien 3 & 4 really do not matter here).
There is also mention of an LV233, also a moon from the Calpamos system, which is what Weyland funded on Prometheus. Thats where the Engineers set up an outpost, and were contaminated by the pathogenic agent (called Chemical A0-3959X.91 – 15, i.e. black goo.) So thats where the Engineer ship crashed.
But then David (and maybe Shaw if he didnt kill her first) went to the Homeworld (not a moon) of the Engineers and wiped them out (as seen in the short prologue film Scott made). Since the Covenant crew saw the Engineer's remains, that's where this movie takes place. But didnt they say it was a moon, I would have thought the Engineers homeWORLD would be a planet.
So we have crashed ships on LV233, and the Engineers homeworld has the ship Shaw took, which David states crashed as well (supposedly killing Shaw). Is either of these also LV426? The planets surface could not have changed that much, at least not become the dark, windswept world shown in Alien. And how did the "company" in Alien know about this planet if it was different from the others?
I am guessing that the crashed ship that the colonists discovered has yet to crash as of Covenant, the ship that was rammed by Prometheus and crashed might still be the one in the 1st movie. But some ecological disaster much have happened in a very short time, and the LV designation would have changed from LV233 to LV246. (Could that LV mean Landed Vehicle, and refer to the ships that landed there, not to the moons?)
Very interesting, would like to know if anyone can put the pieces together, or it have these huge gaps been created on purpose.

MemberOvomorphMay-30-2017 3:17 PMHmm... I was thinking that maybe David loads up the ship with the eggs, and due to some mishap (maybe the queen decided she didnt like taking orders from an android) David is killed, and the ship ends up crashing (or just landing) on LV426? Who else would have created the strange barrier over the eggs that Kane saw when they first discovered the eggs, surely not the Queen!
The problem with that is that David is currently on the Covenant now, and God knows what he is going to create with over 2000 bodies. And he is on his way to a distant star, so maybe he is out of the picture? But I think not, he will likely reprogram the ship to take him back to his lab, or find a better one.
So there are 2 ships on 2 moons (or 1 Homeworld) available. And there must be more that the Engineers have on the planet. But, who else would be able to place the eggs on the ship, and make the strange barrier covering the eggs, and pilot the ship to LV426?
Gonna be a long wait for the next 2 movies....

MemberPraetorianMay-30-2017 4:00 PMCovenant: they land on Planet 4, in a system where there are 5 planets around a very old sun.
LV-223, LV-426 and a third moon are around the planet Calpamos, which is a gas giant.
