MemberNeomorphMay-31-2017 10:47 PMWell when I was in the movie theater there was a guy with 2 10 year olds (I didn't know they allowed parents to take their children to a restricted film) However, in spite of all the carnage he only considered appropriate to try to "cover the kids' eyes during the shower scene at the end of the movie, which is no very explicit even though the couple is obviously making out in the shower and you get to see the profile of the girl's breasts. That was it. Oh and there is a lot of F words and "sweets tits", "sugar dick" comments

MemberTrilobiteMay-31-2017 11:02 PMGood question. I was about 11 or 12 when I saw Death Wish with my parents. My mom tried to cover my wyes and told me to look away but that just made me want to see it more- and that rape scene was more brutal than many films I have seen since. Kids are more resilient than given credit for imo. As long as they know the difference between fiction and reality it should be good. I suppose it depends on overall trust within the family?
Ironically, I just gave the Alien Quadrilogy to my grand daughter after talking to her mom (my daughter) and she said- no problems- she knows it's just a movie.

MemberChestbursterJun-01-2017 2:47 AMIn the UK it is a 15.
Shower scene is extremely mild.
Language isnt OTT either.
My children are too young but I wouldnt put anyone off taking children, will be a great family day/night
Take This.... This is the blood of our lord

MemberDeaconJun-01-2017 9:16 AMIts not very Graphic.... i mean Kids nowadays are introduced to Graphic stuff a lot.... Gore and Blood does not affect our younger Generation than it did 25+ years ago.
Movies like The Exorcist would not even scare our current 12-13 year olds... Movies like Alien also.. and The Thing well, this was really disturbing 30 years ago... but Kids see worse in Video Games nowadays.
So Horror/Gore i would not consider it to bad.
Harsh Language there is some but its never over the Top. If your Child has seen the whole Alien Franchise and is not effected by the overall Gore/Foul Language in those movies then they should be fine.
Then it comes to the Nudity.... Yes TWO people are in the Shower but they are only naked and kissing and its not long, you only see the Female from behind and Male from Waist up.
There is just a quick shot where the Female Jumps back and then we view her from the side for some 1 second or so SIDE BOOB, where you can see Nipples... but its easy to miss due to being a very quick glimpse and not being endowed with very Large Bosoms
So overall you wont notice that Nudity, its very brief.
