I dont know if its already commonly known around here, but if you are looking for a series that sometimes gives you an Alien vibe you should watch The Expanse
Ofcourse it is in no way related or has any Xeno creatures, but I like to think of the ambience and design of the cities and ships as well as storywise the society, industrial/military factions and stellar ressource mining and so on to be a pretty close display of what our solar system might have looked like in the W-Y universe, shortly before they started reaching out for interstellar colonization and ressources.
I am currently only mid of season1, and I hope I am not recommending any references unworthy of Alien, if the series turns to something Laserswordish/Phasersonstunish ;)

Beautiful space battles, awesome ships, brilliant characters, talented actors, etc. It is based on the novel series by James S. A. Corey, the pen name of authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. The intro credits were done very well and i thought it set everything up real nice!
By the end of episode 1 i was more than happy with it.
Looks like it will be another binge session next free opportunity.
