Alien Covenant Deleted Scenes

MemberNeomorphAug-03-2017 7:11 PMNot sure if it is ok to post, but the deleted scenes are on youtube already.

MemberNeomorphAug-03-2017 7:53 PMNot too much new in the deleted scenes. Glad Daniels' scenes were left out; we got the fact that she is depressed from what it is in the movie already. David's explanation of the Valhalla mythical story gives away too much of his sentiment toward humanity to be included at the beginning of the film, and also makes him look very different from what he was in "Prometheus". That scene show us David the way he is after he goes mad. Apart from the citadel segment we already know, the only other scene that stands out in my opinion is the one with the neomorph in the cave... there should have been more scenes like that in the film.

MemberXenomorphAug-03-2017 10:48 PMThank you joylitt. I could not keep myself from watching them. Imo none of them are worthy to be in the movie, even the Neomorph moves like the 1922 Nosferatu. Not to mention Daniels scenes. I believe Waterston was not the best option for Daniels as a lead and surviving character. She did not convince me and I hope they don't plan to connect her to Ripley

MemberChestbursterAug-04-2017 9:34 AMThe link works. With the exception of the Neomorph scene, I would have left all of those in the movie. All were good character moments.

MemberChestbursterAug-04-2017 12:33 PMKethol. i think they would of had a better film with those in too. even rosie pulling the gun out of the holster builds her character. now she is looking more prepared for what may come.
Joylitt - Thank you so much for that !! i really enjoyed that
Anyone sees Advent i would love to see that so much too.

MemberNeomorphAug-04-2017 2:23 PMBigDave You are in the UK, right? Sometimes youtube blocks videos regionally. try this one (it's missing the first scene though) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3cM3HnjisE&t=5s

MemberDeaconAug-04-2017 4:04 PMLooking at these, and seeing some other shots in the trailers that did not make the movie and how these extras are cut compared to where and how they would fit with the movie.
Does seem to me that even these extras are not every thing that was shot... we had the same thing with Prometheus too where even the deleted Scenes were not all the scenes that was cut, there was a number of others that we never saw.

MemberTrilobiteAug-04-2017 4:27 PMI still wonder if some filming for Awakening was shot at the time during AC- possibly for flash back scenes.
BigDave
MemberDeaconAug-04-2017 4:40 PMWho knows...
We had the same speculation regarding Prometheus, because if they was logically going to go with David and Shaw on the Juggernaut then why not shoot a few scenes while they have the Set.... but alas it appeared none was shot.
Would the same be said with AC? Who knows... i do think it would make sense to Store the Juggernaught Set, the Xenomorph Eggs, Face Huger and even other Xeno props if they are to make a appearance in the next movie.
As Rebuilding a Juggernaught, the Covenant interior and Xenomorph Props again just adds to the cost.

MemberNeomorphAug-04-2017 4:42 PMdk I don't think so and that is a great relief. The new movie has to be a total departure from Covenant in order to work out. Hopefully everybody involved in the new movie will be in a different state of mind.

MemberDeaconAug-04-2017 5:04 PMI think they are in a tricky situation...
They surely cant just drop the whole Covenant Plot, even if they drop the whole Plot but give it the Dr Shaw treatment.
So we end up Post the Colony setting up on Origae-6 to discover the horrors of Davids experiments but no sign of David.... and its a incoming Human/Company ship that makes this discovery.... this for me is a bit too much a Aliens all again... if they go this kind of route, where another Mission comes to Origae-6 find the Colony Set partially up, the Ship Crashed or what ever and then discover a Xeno Hive and Eggs and then a Bloody Queen... and no David...
Then this would be a complete Aliens reboot and joke... and more so if on this incoming Ship is a Ripley connection... but who knows maybe FOX could Cave in and do this kind of a Plot... to give in to the FANBOYS as it appeared to work for why they changed the plans for Prometheus 2 to Alien Covenant.
I do however think if they are considering now ONE movie, which we dont know but i think if it was TWO Movies as a TWO part Prequel to Alien, they could have explored a bit of David on the Covenant and the Covenant Colony being set up and then set up the next movie to explore a aftermath after David uses them for Xenomorph Hosts etc.
If they now have concerns over the Franchise, then maybe they would have to condense this to a ONE Movie connection and so indeed the Covenant Voyage and what goes on between 2105 and 2112 when the Covenant should arrive at Origae-6, may indeed just be the same as the Crossing Prologue and left over Aftermath clues of what happened from when David and Shaw arrived on Planet 4 to when the Covenant crew arrived.
So yes maybe they could go for a AFTERMATH kind of Flick again, i just hope they totally dont choose to tone down the path that Prometheus and Alien Covenant had left
I hope FOX has faith in RS original idea and vision and not keep wondering a WHAT IF WE DID ALIEN 5

MemberChestbursterAug-05-2017 1:19 PMI am really beginning to think that they have left too much open going into the last film.
Questions considered answered in Prometheus have been put back to a question post A:C. It just leaves an awful lot of potential banana skins from this current situation.
SJ was answered enough after Prometheus. Not now.
If the Xeno is Davids and the 1979 Xeno in Alien is from his stock, why after speeding up the growth rate in A:C do the Xeno in Alien have a slower (normal) growth rate
There are many more but that is enough to make a point with

MemberNeomorphJan-05-2023 3:14 AMSetaverde: Those things should have been in the movie, because they build the characters up a bit. For some (probably dumb) reason they were left out, and therefore Covenant was worse than it could have been.
