Hello Scified! It is time for our second script recital. We did Alien last spring and now we will recite Alien Resurrection. There is a prizey prize for the member who delivers the last spoken line of the movie. Mods, Staff and Admin are also members. (The winner will need to PM me with shipping information).
The rules are pretty simple. You can post a line but have to wait to post another until someone else posts the next line. A caveat is if a line is only one to four words long- in that case, you may deliver two lines.
The winner will be the member whom delivers the final line of the script. Posting that line out of sequence of the script is not a win. The intent is to conduct the entire script top to bottom.
I encourage maximum participation. If I see no activity for approximately 24 hours, I will bump the thread with some random silly stuff. Some off script jocularity is allowed but we should not get too off topic. This competition will be several pages long by the time it is done.
To keep us on the same sheet of music, we will use the script provided by Black Winter Witch and AVP Galaxy.
I will give the first line to get it started and show the proper way to post.

I reserve the right to adjust if things are moving too slowly. ENJOY!
FOR NEWER MEMBERS!!! Here is a link to the last recital in case you are unfamiliar with the general flow:

(Wren is now worried. With urgency in his steps to keep up with Perez quick pace, his voice naturally follows the same urgency.)
We don't perceive this as a problem.

(now that Ash has been purged from the Scified Server, we're back, so.....BUMP)
PEREZ - Ellen Ripley died trying to wipe this species out of existence and for all intents and purposes succeeded, Im not anxious to see her picking up her old hobbies.

(Perez notices Gediman grinning and that just pisses him off even more.)
Perez - And I'm supposed to take comfort in that?
(Perez angirly punches the code and uses the hand scanner to open the second observation room with Gediman and Wren following close behind in entering.)

Perez- Bottom line is, she looks at me funny and I put her down. As far as I'm concerned, number eight is a meat byproduct. This girl here is the money.

(On a side note: I wish the breathe password was in the script)
(Perez has a little proudness in him as he looks onto the Queen Xenomorph. After all, he's in charge of this ship along with her, the Queen Xenomorph herself. Perez, after watching the Queen for a few seconds, starts to speak out of awe and, especially, fear.)
How soon before she's producing?

(Perez is now a little frustrated with Wren telling him what we need, but, out of respect, Perez replies...)
It's on its way.

Gediman (pretending to correct her)- Fork.
(If a line is four or less words long, you can enter two lines if desired).

(Thanks for reminded me. I did enjoy typing "F^(%" though. That's a satisfying one word to me)
(Ripley cracks a smile, that's if you wanted to say she smiled. In reality she was just adjusting in her seat and her face moved as she did since Ripley doesn't like Gediman all that much. She hardly knows him, but it doesn't matter...)
(Ripley than starts to ask the question...)
How did you...
(Gediman finishes what Ripley is saying because Ripley paused since she can't bring herself to ask her question, like he knows what the creation he helped create is thinking.)
How did we get you? (starts Gediman)
(Gediman starts to take more than enough pride when Ripley is left open mouthed after what he just said, like it was confirmation that he can read her mind.)
Gediman replies, "Hard work. Blood samples taken on Fiori 16. (with extra emphasis in his tone) On ice.

(I admit to being a bit envious for not having the honor of delivering the F bomb lol! It was legit too since it is part of the script.)
Ripley- Fiora 16...
Gediman- Ring a bell? What do you remember about that place?

(Ripley takes a handful of seconds to think about what this creepy man is asking here. He's so demanding, she thinks.)
(Flashes of events that took place on Fiori 16 take her minds focus anyways.)
(Ripley stutters) "Came down in the shuttle... it was cold... they didn't make it."
(Ripley now feels guilty)
"They didn't survive," says Ripley.

(As Ridley starts her sentence, Gediman tries to predict what Ripley is going to say.)
Gediman attentively says, "Does it...," shortly after Ripley starts saying those exact same words. (Ripley doesn't like the fact that he acts like he knows everything, including what she is thinking.)
Gediman answers, "Yea. Rapidly."
(Ripley replies in a way which she knows Gediman isn't prepared for. This will peak is interest, she thinks, but that is good, because he needs to listen to what she is going to say. Gediman needs to pay attention.)
It's a queen.

Ripley simply states, "It'll breed. You'll die." (As her own words get a second chance to become real within her mind, she starts to get angry.) Everyone in the... fucking... (she searches for the word, then spits it out)company. Will die. (Ripley is so angry that these aliens that she remembers killing are put on a pedestal with, it seems, at least one other human being she comes across.)(Ripley starts to think the aliens will never die and starts to give up hope.)

I Moon Girl (It shows that you have recently watched the movie and inserted insights into this. I like it and encourage it but I think Ripley may have said something like it not being exactly out of the manual lol!)
Gediman- Company?

"Weyland. Yutani," says Wren in a very, matter-of-fact kind of tone and with a smile on his face. (Wren is ready at the opportunity to show that he knows more Gediman. Wren's also getting cocky with the success he's been having on the ship full of scientists experimenting with human cloning, most likely illegally and probably for the first time in human history at the level of actually getting living clones.)

(@ dk"It shows that you have recently watched the movie and inserted insights into this."
I try my best at getting the thoughts behind why things happen right. If I get it wrong, it still allows me to analyze and movie almost like a book, which I end of understanding the story and characters better. It's fun.)

Wren- Our Ripley's former employers. Terran Growth conglom, had some defense contracts under the military. Before your time. Gediman- they went under decades ago, bought out by Walmart. Fortunes of war. (To Ripley) You'll find things have changed a good deal since your time.

Ripley - I doubt that
Wren - We're not flying blind here you know. This is the United Systems Military, not some greedy corporation

(Just watched and almost forgot how enjoyable this movie is)
Ripley- It won't make any...difference...

(Ripley stops for a moment puzzled at the familiarity of the sentence. Then continues)
You're still going to die
(it is a enjoyable film agreed)

Wren: And how do you feel about that? (Wren thinks there is no way they could fail and that Ripley is just being paranoid.)

(Wren looks jokenly at Ripley, like he's above her. She is a clone after all, a creation that he had a main part in creating. So, Wren thinks, he is above her in some evolutionary and intelligent way and doesn't take her concerns very seriously.)
Wren: I wish you could understand what we're trying to do here. The potential benefits of this race go way beyond urban pacification. New alloys, new vaccines... there's nothing like this in any world we've seen. (Wren pauses to think for a second) You should be very proud.
(Wren speaks this in a way like he has rehearsed it. In a way, he has. He's always thinking about how the work he is doing is so great. There is no doubt in his mind that what he, and even Gediman, is doing is the right move and if Ripley, or #8 (according to Wren), doesn't get it, that's not his problem. It's worth a shot to convince her though. She is after all an apparent successful clone project.)

(Wren's constant smile gets bigger.) And the animal itself is wondrous. They'll be invaluable once we've harnessed them.

::new scene::
(A vessel starts to approach the ship Ripley and the scientists are on (the Auriga). The ship is close enough to ask for an authorization code.)
(The captain of the vessel (called The Betty) naturally and loudly voices his code over to the officer asking for it like he's done this many, many, many of times.)
My authorization code is 'fuck you', son. Now open the goddamn bay or General Perez is gonna do a Wichita stomp on your virgin ass.
(The captain, Elgyn, than switches off the voice box.)
Partly to himself and to his neighboring mate, Elgyn says, "I guarantee that boy's never seen the inside of a woman."
Elgyn calmly orders his female mate, Hillard, "Bring us in on three-oh descent, ride the parallel."
(He speaks to her like there will be no questions coming from his "order". They're on the same wavelength and in tune to what needs to be done. The only question is when and the when is now.)
