I believe the image flashed around the time Tennessee closed his eyes from the signal volume in his helmet Spearfish as he was reattaching the sails disturbed by the charged-particle burst.

@Spearfish, it's when Tennessee is mending the solar sail, and his helmet gets spammed by the signal from the alien planet.

It looks like she just got some bad news?

Either that, or David's giving her a good rogering.
