ALIEN HIBERNATION Update 1

First off, i've added a new character to the story, Ellis Dawn, who is a engineer aboard the USCSS Adams.
Secondly, i'm gonna reveal some of what i've worked on, here:
Alien Hibernation takes place in 2137, fifteen years after the events of ALIEN.
Year: 2137.
The USCSS Adams (small commercial cargo ship) is returning to Edison Space Port after dispatching Lead and other industrial grade metals, replacement tools and machinery to a lead works on Beta 150. Whilst approximately 2 months away from the space port, the Adams receives a distress call from A Russian Ship, the RFCSS Nevsky. The transmission is only partially translatable, due to the rest of the distress call being distorted due to interference. The Synthetic onboard the Adams, Roland, wakes up the crew.
With the crew awoken, the AI aboard the Adams, AIMC (Artificial Intelligence Mainframe Computer) briefs the crew on the distress call. AIMC explains that the distress call was sent out 3 weeks ago, the ship, having a crew of 12, went silent. Captain Roberts organises a team compromising of Shane, Linda, Ellis and Roland. When boarding the Nevsky, the team makes its way to the bridge, with no signs of life yet found. They try to activate the ship’s generators but find the controls for the generator non-responsive. Alternatively, they activate the emergency power. After this Linda and Shane search the rest of the ship for the missing crew, whilst Roland and Ellis stay on the bridge to find any information on why the distress call was sent out, and what can be uncovered from the flight recorder. Ellis works on repairing the ship’s main generator, as Roland does not require assistance (He's a synthetic, after all.)
Linda and Shane make their way to the 3rd level of the ship, where they find multiple bodies of the crew. The 3 bodies which they find, are coated with lacerations, large stabbing wounds, and large holes in their heads. The rest of the crew is found in the Cargo hold, completely ripped to pieces and covered in large gashes. It looks like the crew barricaded the doors and tried to put up a good fight. Clearly, it was no use.

This is certainly similar to ONE of the Plot ideas i threw out in Regards to a AC sequel... Where David had conducted Experiments before things went to POT and the Covenant goes into Lock Down.... Most of the Ship is Quarantined...
The Ship Arrives near Oriage-6 before some of the Cryo-Pods are then Automatically Opened.... those who Awaken discover the Covenant has been the Scene of Horror.
Those Colonist that Awaken are NOT aware of WHAT had Happened on Planet 4, they are NOT aware that the Dismembered Body of Walter they Repair is David. By the Time they Discover Daniels and the Horrific Truth its too LATE!
So you would be looking at a Claustrophobic Horror like ALIEN on a Larger Ship, which has some Elements of the Xenomorph Hive from Aliens, the Horrific Work Shop of Planet 4 with Unseen Dangers of Prometheus.
So i think its Interesting that your ALIEN HIBERNATION would be touching upon a Space Hulk (Derelict Ship that is Drifting in Space with a Horror on Board).

I'll answer best i can for the both of you.
To Blackwinter, so far, yes, this is all i have so far, its still being worked on, but it is an improvement over the what the first part was. as to there being a link to more, i'm afraid not. I prefer to keep things like this behind closed doors, and unveil when I feel it is ready and the right time.
To BigDave, the original story was nothing like it is now. Years ago when i was first thinking of this, it was gonna be on a colony that suffers from a xeno infestation.I scrapped that because i didn't like that concept, plus it only featured one alien, so to me, it would have been a bit stupid. The second concept, which was the original story i had announced and teased 2 years back, was set on a large cargo ship that had gone silent, due to a xeno infestation after discovering the alien floating in space. eggmorphing. No queen. Marines would investigate and try to survive the threat from the xenomorphs as they are cut off from their ship. As for now, there is only one alien, the original one from the film. However, i am considering adding one or two more into the story via the eggmorphing process. My only concern is allowing more aliens to dilute the horror that should be in this.

Absolutely showing TOO MANY of the Beast would lessen the Effect/Horror so having just a FEW would work more with the kind of Survival Horror type Story ;)
