Can Wendy communicate with the Xenomorph?

I’m sure you noticed Wendy’s disassociations when she got close to the crashed Maginot – the subtle clicking / Xenomorph sound bites flooding her ears. It was prevalent enough that she focused on it more than once and it seemed to assist her in tracking down Hermit and knowing “something” was there…

So is one of these new unknown qualities the Hybrids have the ability to telepathically connect with other organisms? Why only the Xenomorph and not the other specimens?

I’m sure this will be fleshed out more as the series progresses, but it looks like a clear indication that Wendy and the Xenomorph have some kind of connection. What do you think?
