Should Ridley Scott make a sequel to Alien: Covenant or create something new?

Yes, follow up on Covenant so we could finally (hopefully) get some well deserved closure. Leaving Daniels and Tennessee in the freezer for evil David to plan his experimental cooking is just foul lol. Have David cornered by a pissed off mob of surviving colonists armed with colonial farming tools, and let them go full medieval on his milky android ass. Shred him to bits and blow him out the airlock through his favorite flute to the tune of Einzug der Götter in Walhall by Das Rheingold Prodigy Remix.

That's quality writing right there. Anyway I can't stand David but that's a testament to how well Michael Fassbender portrays the vile mastermind. It would also be a perfect opportunity to flesh out his motives beyond passionately creating, philosophing and destroying. Wickedness aside he's an interesting multifaceted character not entirely unlike Tony Soprano or Patrick Bateman and surely he must've evolved a lot during the journey towards Origae-6, his own giant canvas for sure.

Realistically though I don't think a sequel will happen. Will Michael, Katherine Waterston and Danny McBride be interested at this point, 8 years after the release of Covenant? Maybe, hopefully. Who knows but fingers crossed that it'll happen and more importantly that it will at least be above average. 

A focus on the human characters, more about the Engineers, no David, make sure that David isn't responsible for the monster or is the one in the chair. Keep Scott away from the writing and let him be involved with the art department. Don't cut character-development for run-time (Prometheus). Enough of the AI-thing

I'm all for it. I just hope it doesn't connect to the LV 426 Derelict like he's suggested in the past. Leave that a mystery. I don't think answer to that Will ever satisfy. I'm curious about Origae 6 being acknowledged in Romulus. I had to track down the image (thank you Reddit), look far right. Was Origae 6 colonized after all? Did David actually go there?

Katherine Waterstone and Michael Fassbender had expressed interest in returning earlier this year. If McBride isn't interested they can just give him the ol' Hicks/Newt/Shaw treatment lol

Wait, how did we miss the Origae-6 reference in Alien: Romulus?! I missed that Easter egg – that is a pretty big deal. Or is it simply the company recruiting for that mission again after the Covenant went off course? Enough time would have passed surely... That distinct deserves its own topic, imo. I would like to see a sequel. I don't like dangling threads. Would prefer consistency and all questions about the movies answered once and for all. Hoping they do it soon.

I'm going to watch all the movies again. 

I saw the origae 6 billboard now. Didnt know this as all. Cool to see another easter egg from Romulus. 😃

Just finished watching Covenant again. I never could figure out why David was so cooperative at the end. Was it because he was more concerned with ridding the solar system of the 2000 plus humans on board and the embryos? Also, what happened to the extra xenomorph on the planet? Weren't there 2 in the beginning. One was shot and killed by the captain and the other was impaled and tossed overboard by the new captain. That left one and Walter on the surface since he couldn't die. So, yes I definitley want to see Covenant 2 to explain all that.

David did indeed help Daniels and Tennessee by remotely operating the doors against the xenomorph in the corridors aboard the Covenant, which was odd. Maybe he specifically wanted Daniels alive for a Shaw 2.0 experiment. Or maybe he wanted to further gain their trust 🤷

Ultimately however, David made sure that Daniels and Tennessee were locked in their cryo pods just like the rest of the sleeping colonists. This way no one would interfere with his evil scheme.
