Noah Hawley speaks on Alien: Earth timeline – eventually connecting to ALIENS too?!
Okay so the confusion continues... in a most recent interview with Evolution of Horror, Noah Hawley says Alien: Earth exists contemperanius - which means "existing or occurring in the same period of time" with Ridley's Alien and the film chronology. He also says "depending on how long the show runs, we might head toward the second film"... this of course means James Cameron's Aliens.
At first the show existed in its own timeline, now more recently Hawley expresses it exists in tandem. As if things couldn't get more confusing... Check out the interview below:
