Witness the bloody aftermath of an Alien attack in new Alien: Covenant image!

800hrs every morning, well 0900 EST. 

im also under the impression, it is a time stamp.

It looks to be a med lab. An infected patient was on the table and gave birth. Perhaps one of those Neomorphs. Which the killed who ever else was in the room.

If you zoom in, it seems that the blood originated on the operating table. And then it looks like it moved down to splatter all over the ground.

Looks like shredded metal on the floor...and...Alien footprints?

Wonder if they managed to encase a burster in a metal carrier, but it got out...resulting in more mayhem and gore? ;)

I think whoever "they" were, didn't turn out well for them.

Not sure how its possible to get three blood spatters all looking like that. Looks unnatural. 

A jet of arterial blood, perhaps from the neck area, could land on the glass and walls at that height, then run down in that way! 

I'm thinking back burster; probably the first one as you would think they may realise 'bursting' on the ship is not a good option after seeing it once . . .?

if you look to the right edge of the picture might be the origin of the blood.

@Apex_Predator, I was wondering the same thing about the blood splatter pattern on the glass. My theory is this:

We know the Neomorphs have spikes on their own backs which are used to burst through the host's back. What if, while on the operating table, the Neomorph begins to erupt, forcing the patient off the table to the floor, where they throw up blood to start, then as they try to crawl away, their back gets burst by 3 spikes, each one sending a geyser of blood towards the glass?

This picture is very 'ALIEN' i like it. Almost feels like the Nostromo's med bay with the sense of Prometheus.

Probably nothing, but what can you guys get out of this picture? I find that central "Hand print" to match a similar look to the close up of Big Chap's hand when he kills dallas in Alien.

As for the size enhanced image, It almost (Almost) Looks like the new "Face Hugger" design in shape. I'm not trying to break new ground here - just a couple of silly ideas.

Edit: If you're just thinking "Gravity pulled the blood into that position" I look at that pattern and see fingers blocking the path and splitting them into that shape. Looks awesome! Bring on the trailer

We also don't the number of people in the room, aside from the infected. Most likely two other people but from the scene shown, it will be violent.

These numbers are dates! with the time!

2104 is the year! 12 stands for december! and the numbers before stand for the day! the four numbers before stay for the time!

Inasmuch as I love seeing these images, they do create odd perceptions.

Bear in mind that this is a promo shot, and low quality at that. You're seeing a set dressed for probably a very different angle of photography, and possibly just after a scene was filmed there. Color's off, terrible contrast etc. 

Prometheus played in the year 2089. So if 2104 is the year when the Covenant ship arrives at paradise, exactly 15 years have passed since the happenings on LV-426 (Prometheus)

Yes 123Engineer, that's what many are saying.  It's a time and date stamp for the events in the movie.  What is interesting, if that is true, is the security team scene would happen before the cryo-chambers were opened (looks like people are still inside).  Unless the Covenant intercepts the distress signal from David and the security team's cryo-chambers are programmed to open first so they can go down, inspect and secure the area before they send a command to the Covenant to open the rest of the cryo-chambers.  Maybe they do, but something happens to them (James Franco's character is a commander, but they all die, hence his screen time is short as it's been discussed; sidenote... that would be funny as he was in talks for the new 'Predator' movie in likely a similar role).  However, somehow that command to open the rest of the cryo-chambers gets sent even though it shouldn't have, i.e., David.  Or, is this security team on LV-223 to find out what happened to Prometheus and are met by the full-grown Deacon (a kind of flashback)?  I doubt it due to the grasses as there didn't appear to be grasses on LV-223 and I think I read there would be no Deacon in this movie.

@Membrane Interesting idea! Maybe one of the soldiers got infected with some sort of bacteria (black goo or something else) and returned to the covenant ship. Unfortunately, the crew of the ship let the wounded soldier(s) in, and then the alien evolved ad bursted out of the soldier in the medical room.

Intriguing, are they really showing us the plot as it unveils? I don't know, I hope this doesn't continue for months without a trailer! 

@123Engineer... in addition to the distress signal, it would be a direct call back to 'Alien'.  That would be interesting.

@123Engineer.  I agree, it might be too similar, but a distress signal that the Covenant picks up and goes to investigate (via Empire Magazine article) is the same as 'Alien'.  I can foresee the planet ultimately being LV-426.

Can I get a trailer, a teaser at least. Even Blade Runner 2 has a teaser and it comes out months later. Why are they making us suffer so much and wait so long? We know a trailer exists with reports that it has been attached to some showings of Rogue One even. It's Christmas, the season of giving give a trailer please.

so the ship on LV426 might be the Juggernaut ship of David and Shaw? But there are no cryo chambers in the juggernaut ship in Alien.

The bloody exam room, or whatever it is... looks amazing.

Look at both of the BLUE areas in the back of the room. Directly below the upper one and to the left of the latter there appears to be some other anomaly on the Door Window with the blood splatter...Impact Point? It has the typical "spidering" that glass gets from an impact. In addition, there is what appears to be a hole in the glass. I think there was weapon fire in that room...

 can anyone blow up the right side of the picture looks like something is against the glass at the edge of the picture?

All this teasing, dying for the trailer....

So, looking at the photos and the time stamps, I am thinking that the security team goes down first to gather David. After all, they picked up his distress call. It is a rescue mission. They go down to the surface and follow the signal to the source. The next shot is of the gyro tubes, the crew awakes...as that happens...the security team returns...one or more infected...thus the gory scene today. The question is do they come back without David and then they go a second time down or does David come back up with the security team, or what is remaining of the security team? These picks are telling us a story...simple but effective. 

@David007, I was thinking that David has been toying with things on the planet and runs out of things to experiment on.  He sends a distress signal and waits until someone arrives.  The security team goes down as we both suspect, but whether they all die or get infected and go back to Covenant... I'm not sure.  Regardless, I think David wants more than just the security team to experiment on and will do something to make sure that happens.

The question is, what has David all done all the years on that planet... In the synopsis, it says that the planet is an "uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world"... Is David responsible for it? Has he done something that has changed the planet into "a dark, dangerous world"? Or was is already dark when he arrived with Shaw? What do you guys think?

Maybe David wants to finish what the Engineers didn't do...destroy earth. He needs a ship to get there. Something must of happened to the derelict ship they flew onto paradise. So, now, David needs another mode of transportation. He had 10 years to dabble in the science of the planet and now has made advances. 

I'm sure David would view that Cryo chamber as a sort of pantry.

It will be Christmas for David as it seems by the time stamps this whole mission will happen in December....David will have a whole ship to use to his hearts content. 

Wouldn't it be weird if David has a kind of Island of Dr Moreau thing going on?  What if the covenant wasn't the first to visit?

There is a gun on the floor ,something to do with security guards.

Two monitor screen next to the bed side are still on ,and they have flat line which suggests that patient is dead .

I know one thing for sure, if people will wait for a long time, their expactation will grow higher and it is not good for movie's rating. FOX do not risk, just launch trailer ASAP.

Interesting set of images and we cant be 100% sure what the numbers mean..

We can surely rule out the Countdown theory the most logical pattern would seem a date stamp to events.

So we are looking at a series of events over a period of at least 3 days.

Thus this kind of time scale if these scenes are stamped correct in correlation to when they happen within the Alien Timeline, would not match with thew few leaks that many are thinking as Legit... also new photos also go against what these leaks suggest.

If i am to analyze the photo...

It seems to me like someone has been locked in that room while something happens and they tried to get out.

The only logical theory i can get to is that someone is taken there not feeling good, then we get a Chest Buster type event and Organism... maybe those near by either run off  into other room and lock in the unfortunate victim post bursting or maybe during.

The victim then maybe is alive after and goes up to the glass to try and get out while the Chest Buster is loose (or if not victim then someone in the room with them).

I can see a ventilation in the shaft and i would assume the Chest Buster rips that open and escapes.
