Please - no Alien Queen in this film...

I like the term "Ovomorph", I really hope they explore the Egg Morphing concepts ditched in Alien. 

I second Zeta, please no Alien Queens. I don't think we'll see any reference to Queens in Alien: Covenant.

I doubt there won't be alien queen because it isnt Ridley's thing,instead these eggs could be the result of the black goo.

Ridley did say many months ago idk exactly when or where, about the derelict from the first alien that the pilot while trying to escape from lv-223 got infected with the black goo, and when derelict crashed on lv-426 something evolved from it (he was hinting at the eggs).

Indeed Dark Nebula.... Ridley was being vague and ambiguous again...  if i remember correct his exact words was along the lines (well these points.)  That the Derelict incident had happened within a few hundred years of the outbreak on LV-223  and the Derelict was on a mission but did not get far.

Before he was infected with the Cargo, and something had evolved in that Cargo Hold.

So while its ambiguous it does tease that LV-223 and the Outbreak is connected...  The problem is with the Cargo and Evolved...

This always brings us to the Cargo was it Eggs?  Ridley hinted to for many years before he dropped that Cargo Evolved hint.

I think we maybe need to look at the Chest Busted Cryo-Sleep Engineers as Clues...  the Last Engineer survived within the same Room.... Spaights draft however he was infected just he caught the infection in time and Cryo-sleep suspended the event... but after being woken up by the Grew of the Magellan he was upset as the crew basically now sentenced him to death.... via the Chest Buster he was carrying.

If we are to assume the Chest Busted Cryo-Sleep chambers were included in the set of Prometheus as a Canon Clue... maybe its not the Cargo that Evolved as such? Well it does, but in a different way.

Maybe somehow the Black Goo Outbreak had lead to some infection where some Engineers had now got a Organism inside them.... they attempted to go into Cryo-sleep to get away from the Outbreak or to put it on hold.

The Surviving Engineers other brothers where not lucky they was infected and got Chest Busted....  the Surviving Engineer stayed asleep for a long time.

What if the Space Jockey suffered the same.... he had awoken 200 years or so after the Outbreak and then went about to carry out his mission... not knowing he was infected as a result of a Outbreak relating to the LV-223 Event.

And like those other Chest Busted Engineers, he suffered the same fate but when he realized it was too late and so he had to set down the nearest path to Quarantine his Ship.

What ever Chest Busted then made it down to the Cargo and in some way was responsible for the Eggs... If this Organism maybe then got infected with the Black Goo Urns and its Body was broken down and in turn the resulting Soup somehow evolved and merged with the Urns and changed them into Eggs.

I think somewhat this explains the Space Jockey, its a theory that i would go more for.....  Only thing would be the Cargo... and how Eggs Got there.... as Ridleys hint did suggest that the Cargo Evolved.

The other way would be if the Cargo Hold had Evolved, and then maybe something from this Cargo Hold had got to the Engineer/Space Jockey... or he investigated something and discovered something had Evolved that got to him.

A few problems with this would be.. surely he would not take his Space Jockey Helmet off and so then how does anything infect him while he wears his Space Jockey Mask...

But Kane also had a Helmet and the Face Hugger Melted through his visor.... we dont see any such damage on the Space Jockey...  so maybe he had his Helmet Removed.

Unless the Evolving Cargo was something small, wormlike that could have got inside the Space Jockey suit? or into the Pilot Chamber.... and onto his suit... and a point the Space Jockey removed his Helmet and would not detect a Smaller Organism.

We simply dont know if the Cargo was Eggs, if we take Ridleys comment on board... but anything could have got into the Cargo Hold and contaminated it.... even those Worms.

If the Cargo was Urns... but we have to wander how are they stored and surely in a way that the environment would not be activated i.e  the Cargo Hold would be Sterile or some other safety protocol to prevent the Black Goo from reacting...

And so could a worm or a few that maybe get in the Cargo Hold Actually set any of the Urns off?

Which is maybe why the THEORY i have about maybe something from LV-223 Outbreak infected the Space Jockey instead and he attempted to Sleep it out like the Last Engineer Managed to do... but his brothers did not.

As far as the Queen...

Ridley is not against the Queen but i am not sure he would go the route of a Egg Laying Queen or similar... he could go the route of something that lays or gives birth to something that we can then assume could lay Eggs

But i cant see him going the route to have those Eggs we see being laid... it would be touching upon Camerons Aliens to much...

But we cant rule out any Egg Laying... i just dont think we would see a actual Laying but then it could be hinted at... just like the Derelict we never saw what laid those Eggs... but after Aliens the clues did seem to point to maybe a Queen Laid them... yet we never saw those Eggs on the Derelict get laid.

Egg Morph...

Again while this was the original idea like Star Beast which the Alien draft was based... in Alien it was a bit silly as the Egg looked large... unless after they are Egg Morphed the Egg then shrinks down...

I dont think they would go this route too..... however maybe similar... maybe something else Morphs to the Eggs... we have to ask what went on in the process of the Egg Morph, something was produced that would allow the Genetic Material of the Host to be changed into  a Egg.

They could have this process, by having some Genetic Mutation Process occur to something to produce the Eggs.  But not as far as maybe showing either Human Crew or previous occupants of Paradise being Egg Morphed.

so its going to be interesting.....

A Question we have to ask is where Shaw is, as surely she would not let David experiment on stuff....

-----what if Shaw is evolved like Fifield, only more time to evolve and in a more controlled experimental way... would that lead to the one design we saw in those leaked photos... and could this lay Eggs?

A interesting thing about that Egg Image, is the one Egg is open...

So someone has been infected....

We are supposed to find out about the Origins and we dont know how deep or vague they may go with this... and we dont know if those Eggs are the Evolving Creature... the Engineers created which would mean a long time ago.

But which unfortunate soul gets that Face Hugger, or was one released prior to David and Shaw arriving?   I know the Source said Shaw does not Technically die...  but its if the Source is in anyway True...

A Face Hugged Shaw would Die however... unless David performs C-Section to keep her alive..

The other thing is the Eggs does not sound like what the other supposed leak had claimed too...  are the Eggs a result of after the supposed Spores... or are the Eggs what is found on Paradise prior to anyone arriving?
