Alien: Xenomorph Eggs... alternative look at them.

When i once again looked into a few weeks ago or longer after seeing AC Cave Eggs... and then came across again the Alien Egg looking lay out of the Cabbage Patch..

I could not help but look into Cabbages lol.... as well the Eggs also looked like a Pumpkin Patch too and they are Procreated by Seeds, other plants require Pollinating..

But the Cabbages... well they dont..... here is how they do it.

"Cabbages reproduce asexually by cloning. Cloning is a process of similar producing populations of individuals that are genetically identical that occurs in nature by reproducing asexually. Cabbage only takes three months to grow, unlike most other crops. This makes it one of the top vegetable producing plants. When cabbages do reproduce, a lot of them can sprout up quite fast, which is why it's an ideal crop for farming"

How does this work?

When a part of a Cabbage dies... well a part falls off or what ever.... a single piece of Cabbage decays and its decaying provides Fertilization but then from the remains its DNA is Cloned into a New Cabbage.

You can cut off a piece of Cabbage.... place it in soil and add water and eventually it will sprout a new baby Cabbage that will grow..

WOW....

What a Fantastic way to Procreate.... Plants that require Pollination need a Organism usually or some other means (sometimes the Wind) to allow for the Plants to Procreate.  If all the Worlds Bees died it out it would have a massive impact on how many Plants/Fruit etc would survive.

If Seeds are the means to Procreate this usually requires a Organism to Eat the Fruit and then deposit the seeds in its Faeces (which also act as Fertilizer)  but if a certain fruit in a certain habitat had the Organisms that would feed off them die out it would spell dire problems for the future of that Fruit.

CABBAGES... do not have this Problem... they offer a near perfect means to Reproduce....

So how does this link to ALIEN?

It does not... but it could do.... Giger proposed the Derelict was grown like a Plant... we have that Spore leak and so maybe something connected to Plant-life could play a role.

Lets look at the Xenomorph prior to Prometheus.. as a Organism and Bio-Weapon.   Its not a ideal Weapon really as the Organism can procreate (Queen) or Egg Morph... a Queen would be more a inconvenience as far as a Bio-Weapon...

Even if we assume the Xenos die out... they then leave behind Eggs which maybe Engineers can re-collect and use.... once all Hosts have died on a Planet and the Xenos too....

Now back to the Cabbages.....

What if we throw out he Queen and Egg Morph or these are a latter Evolution maybe via some Genetic Tampering or mixing with other Organisms... maybe where Black Goo comes in.

If the Xenomorph or its Ancestor... was a Organism with the same or similar Life Cycle...

What if like a CABBAGE... after the Adult Xeno (or Ancestor) has reached Adulthood it survives for sometime... before it then naturally dies.. (like the Face Hugger)

Then its body starts to decay and dissolve...  but they do not dissolve to nothing... they decompose but from the decomposed material.... the Cycle starts again.... like a Cabbage and so from the death of the Organism, to decomposing and then a Egg or Eggs start to form from this material..

Would this not make a more PERFECT Bio-Weapon?

Thus even killing Xenomorphs or Eggs could still lead to them being able to clone from the Genetic Material left over another Egg?

Is this not a really cool concept?  And all this from one time looking at the Eggs and how they form or are organized like Cabbage/Pumpkin Patches and those strange roots...

This theory above.... could explain very well the Alien Egg Cargo and the Mystery Hole...

Alien Chest Buster comes out finds no where to go... dies.. decomposes burns through the Cargo Hold... its DNA then clones itself from its remains and up crop the Eggs LOL

Next i will cover another alternative again linked to the Alien Mural and how it seemed to show the Derelict Produced the Eggs via that tiny tadpole/worm like tear drop from the Eye on the center of Gigers Derelict in the Mural.

Then it seemed to show me.. how like a seed... it then grows into a Egg..... we see in the Mural also in the back ground strange worm like well sometimes different shapes but like some worm like things in the back ground...

These things are also in the Prometheus Fresco as a back ground... and they look a bit like what the hell was going on.. as far as the top of one of the Urns as David looks on and says "Organic"

Finally we have Holloways Eye Worm....  And maybe the Goo on Davids finger (which looked like it had movement inside) is actually a collection of Nano Worm like Organisms like Sperm... and we know a collection of Millions of Sperm (that look like Tadpoles a bit) without a microscope just looks like a Goo basically ;)

Maybe they can produce Eggs.... and the Urns contain this Organism but then the Urn mixes them with the Sacrificial Goo to then break down this Organism to then seed its DNA...

Hence Hamerpedes and Fifield... but Shaws is different?

This is all very intriguing! " could explain very well the Alien Egg Cargo and the Mystery Hole". I wonder if the "roots" growing in the presumably metal derelict gave the Xeno its biomechanical form. BTW- I always thought Pumpkin Head had a Xeno vibe to it lol!

Your ideas explain quite a lot for me. Do you have any thoughts on how the actual union between the biological and mechanical might occur on a cellular level? That could be even more mind blowing.

It could go further in that the Xenomorph uses some kind of chemical reaction that allows for such a thing...... maybe it can pass this Chemical and its DNA onto a Host to break them down and then recompile their DNA to form into a Egg also.

So the similarities to a Caggage applied to a Giger Alien way could explain the Derelict Acid Hole and Egg Morph at the very least.

it could also then be used to explain the Black Goo or Sacrificial maybe too it would give better reason for the pursuit of the Xeno rather than as a  Bio-Weapon for the Company, which then if we look at Alien R and the clones and then the Ripely 8 it shows indeed there could be a purpose beyond using the Eggs and Xeno as a Weapon.

I honestly cant say for sure...  indeed the potential for a Synthetic thats evolved to be less Synthetic or even a Synthetic Construct (Elden from Fire and Stone) could provide components to make a Bio-Mechanical Beast instead of the Organic ones we have seen in Prometheus and those leaked AC photos.

But then we cant be sure on this... because well  the Derelict looks like its been there for a Long Time..... there is some Molecular changes between the Derelict and Juggernaught with the later being more Mechanical...

I think the Xenomorph and its traits (Bio-Mechanical look and also Hives etc) do look like the Derelicts Aesthetic.

Yet the Juggernaughts are more Mechanical.... yet the Monsters in Prometheus and some leaked images from AC are more Organic..

its like if you combined the Molecular Structure of the Juggernaught with those of the Organisms from the Black Goo we then get the Bio-Mechanical Xeno and Derelict.

But again while i think they are connected... its a case of does the Black Goo strain predate the Derelict or comes from it.

Ridley Scott did say way before work on Alien Covenant.. i think it was 2013 he said about David bringing Hell with him and what happens if the Black Goo infects GOD or MACHINE.

Maybe there is a Clue in that?

You know I am totally in agreement with your comments about Giger, the mural 'worms', which have always been there in the background, though their significance never fully registered until PROMETHEUS, and the idea of the derelict ship being grown!

The entire floor of the derelict was a mass of convoluted, organic tubing. Connecting all of the eggs with one another and to the ship. 

The cabbage cloning is also similar to the method for duplicating humans in another old favourite...Invasion of the Body Snatchers! There, tendrils reach out from the spore-pod and attach themselves to the human, gradually removing the life force, once the pod has matured into a fully grown clone-pod person, the original body disintegrates to dust.

As you said Gigers paintings show the humanoid-engineers, both the space jockey head type and the bald head type. I wonder if the LV 223 Engineers were cloned in a similar fashion to this?

Indeed interesting...... i remember the Source as of Feb-March 2015 claimed to seen concept showing what looked like Clones being grown.. well Baby Humanoids in Pods like out of the Matrix.

They also said Shaw uncovers a very very disturbing Agenda... and Purpose... 

And also that the Matrix is very connected as far as theme of the Movie.... in context to similar themes explored in Prometheus and also Prometheus Mythos and Paradise Lost. But in a Matrix meets Giger kind of way...

So indeed the description of Body Snatchers could fit too lol

What if the Urns were originally Batteries to Power Ships for some Ancient Race (think combine Bagdad Battery with Matrix and how Humans are sucked of Fluids to Power the Sentient Machines who overthrew their creators).

What if Engineers was used for the same role.... they created Mankind to replace their Toil... or their Hierarchy created Mankind to replace them for the Toil after they rebelled.

Like the Annunaki/Igigi tale..... only the Toil was not for mining of Gold..... what if the Toil was similar to Body Snatchers or Matrix as far as Human Hosts..

This fits with the Motifs the Alien Franchise covered and Sacrifice etc and HR Gigers Alien Mural.... where it seemed a Alien Ship (has Xeno DNA) Creates Eggs that the Humanoid (Space Jockey) are used to be Sacrifices for ..

I think all the above could be a potential Plot?   Fits with the Matrix Plot that the Source claimed when they said its a Matrix meets HR Giger.

To build on this, I feel as though the Urns and the Black Goo are a form of unnatural nano-tech. That, when combined with the natural Alien organism, produces an array of various creatures and life cycles. One being a Queen, the other an Egg Morpher, another a cloning spore, etc... Because what if the nano-tech are self-programmable? What if the Black Goo and the Eggs are essentially a metaphorical representation of David's own attempt to blend mechanical and organic life together?! Oh man, it's getting deep...

Indeed like the theory i had before the movie came out that was following inc David = Pinocchio

and this backed it up.

But yes David or Walter could be what gives the Xeno its Bio-Mechanics... but then its how does that fit with the Derelict?

Time Travel or similar.... or maybe Mankind are not the only ones to ever created a Robot, Machine and Synthetic before?

As far as how they are going with the Nano-Tech... who knows..

I think before AC and Prometheus 2, its clear to see that the Black Goo could be similar to the Scarabs in Spaights draft just replace with Nano-worm things...  and remember Sperm is a Worm like cell too and Millions of these collected together to the naked eye and touch are a Goo...
