The Bloody "Foot"prints
chli
MemberChestbursterJan-24-2017 12:33 AMThe bloody "foot"prints are probably from a xenomorph or a neomorph? As we can see in the other picture below, the aliens walk on their toes (maybe because they are sneaking). I wonder if all the blood is from a transformation/birth or from attacking and killing a human? It must be soaked in blood . . .

MemberTrilobiteJan-24-2017 6:17 AMThe prints look pretty far apart- suggesting a larger creature? Looks like its left side was injured with steam appearing above those prints from acid blood perhaps?

MemberChestbursterJan-24-2017 7:02 AMYes, looks like an adult. Could be hurt and it's acid, as you say. Or perhaps the blood doesn't show on the darker part of the floor? Hard to tell. It's a long corridor. It must be The Covenant, I suppose?

MemberFacehuggerJan-24-2017 7:26 PMI think that was a newborn that bursted from someone ,or killed ejogo and is walking covered in blood after breaking free from quarantine.
Cant be adult.steps are not big

MemberDeaconJan-25-2017 2:48 AMThis image is likely not from the Covenant Drop Ship... not at all, in order for it to be so, then the Ship has to have TWO types of Corridor and looking at the width of this shot, plus the other shot when Farris goes to the Locked Med-lab... they run Horizontal to the ship... which when we consider the bridge size would be impossible (but then the Egg Silo was part of the Derelict lol).
This shot i think is on the Covenant main ship, the Blood is likely from a Victim of the Organism and looking at the size of these Steps... it would appear to be a Organism of about 4-5ft tall, maximum.
I will assume this is a Stage between Chest Buster and Adult that we have not seen on screen before. A Stage before the Final Molt to Adult Xenomorph. Latter shots from stills we have seen show the ships Corridors have wires hanging from the ceiling and so we can assume the Organism escapes and sneaks around maybe by using the space above the ceilings

MemberDeaconJan-25-2017 2:51 AMOr Potentially yet another Monster we have not seen yet?
Looking at some of the unused prop work, that we have seen has been made but bare no resemblance to the Neomorph or Xenomorph and then seeing the shot of Tess Haubrich maybe there is potential for a Baby-Head Belly Burster?

MemberChestbursterJan-25-2017 4:21 AMYes, so this means it will be a bit similar to the original Alien when they bring the monster from the planet, with the drop ship, to the mothership (disregarding quarantine rules)?
The Covenant seems to be very long, with one long rounded corridor and rooms on the sides. I wonder if there’s a tram that they can take back and forth?

I saw this commercial today. Hard to believe someone created a thread about the 2 seconds of footprints we saw.
the scene that followed was so much more interesting. Maybe tomorrow I'll make a thread about the bloody spine we see ripping through a mans back

MemberDeaconJan-26-2017 6:22 AMI think its a very valid Topic.... Clearly this shot is not part of the Neomorph Outbreak on the Drop Ship, and so its open to debate as its most likely on the Covenant and so opens up the question of is this a Neomorph or Xenomorph (Poster one) and how did this get on the ship.

It's true. The juxtaposition of scenes in the trailer are misleading. Both the footprints hallway and the hallway outside of the backburster room (Amy Seimetz running down)have the same flooring. It makes it appear as if they are the same hallway. On closer inspection however, one hallway is circular, and the other is rectangular. The circular hallway is larger and the rectangular one is smaller.
Unless the rectangular (running) hall starts on the other side of the door at the end of the circular (footprints) hall, I'd agree they are from two completely different parts of the movie.

MemberNeomorphJan-26-2017 10:54 AMwell said chli, just on to bring others down me thinks. not seeing the just born neo its hard to tell and get any scale. would say it could be the new born neo if its bigger than a newborn xeno, as it would be completely covered in blood including soles of its feet after emerging from the crew members body. be interesting to see though
