3 THINGS YOU MISSED IN THE ALIEN: COVENANT TRAILER

The baby Neomorph is what interested me the most in the entire trailer.I think that the neomorph from the trailer is a puppet with some CGI enchanced like the deacon was.

I've been studying the short glimpse of it for a while, and looks like a mix between the Deacon and unused Carlos Huante's Baby head.

With large skinny arms and legs,white skin,skeleton like tail,bulbous head and spikes on its back.

I also did a little sketch,based on the short glimpse of the baby Neomorph from the trailer we've seen.

Indeed i studied the Trailer a lot, and also got to have a look at the leaked Prop work before they was taken down and i agree your drawing as a rough sketch would be pretty close IMO

And i would say the Final Product in the movie i feel would be very very close to this, very close indeed.

Onto the next... The Engineer Cryo Deck Room

Indeed this is the Ship David and Shaw had taken from LV-223, i would safely assume.

I dont think there would be any Engineers though.... because well i would think if they found another Engineer Ship which they did, Shaw would want to inspect the Cyro-sleep Pods.

I dont think she would want to be stuck on a Ship with one of those Engineers, certainly not as far as Trusting David to put her in another Sleep Pod and then if she will be awoken before the Engineer.

And i would think Shaw would get David to open up Cryo-sleep Pod and stand over it with some Black Goo to threaten the Engineer for Answers.

Why would Shaw go to Paradise if the ship had a Engineer she could maybe get her answers from?

Offcourse we dont know what happened from when Shaw had Davids body to when they actually found the Ship, all we saw was they left in one... and so we cant 100% rule out it had a Engineer.

I would think if it did, then Shaw would want to wake it up, maybe they then can make a COVENANT with it?

I would however think that Shaw would have been put inside one of those 4 Cryo-sleep Pods, and a big question is .... Is She Still Inside of One?

Who knows... i doubt it though...

The Control Panel and just beyond has a Green Moss on it, its Green Stuff and i think its most likely Plant Matter as it seems the Ship has been crashed for sometime and the Forest/Jungle has started to grow over parts of it.

Two....   things???

Indeed this Cave system is interesting, right now who knows what those things are...

I would think they are either.

1) Dead Engineers (or what ever beings are on Paradise)

2) Crew of the Covenant either by

i killed by David/Walter

ii killed by Neomorphs or other Organism (Xeno)

iii Face Hugger Victims.

Which of these is open to debate...

If its 2) iii that would mean TWO Xenomorphs, maybe a 3rd if one of these is not Crudrup's Character.

We have to remember from the Trailer we know the crew who are awake at the time of the Drop Ship mission comprises of.

5X Females (Waterston*, Seimetz*, Ejogo* Hernandez# and Haubrich

* Definitely part of the Drop Ship Party

# Most likely remain on the Covenant (until at least 3rd Act).

8 Males (McBride#, Smollett#, Crudup*, Rigby*, Bichir*, Latukefu*, England*, Dean*)

And off course a Synthetic (Fassbender as Walter).

Unaccounted for Cast are Franco and Scaletti but its safe to assume they are on board and play a role, how much who knows... i think either of these has to be the candidate for who ever is with Daniels in front of the Temple Scene

So if we try and figure out who goes where... and i have studied it in depth...

Those bodies if they are not Engineer related must belong to TWO of..

Crudrup, England, Dean or Scaletti 

or maybe one is Tess Haubrich?

But i think she is the one who witnesses this scene.

If there is anything in the Cryo chamber, I think it is Shaw. Scenario: The crew of the Covenant discovers Shaw still in hibernation and they bring her back to the ship, but she suffers form some sort of hibernation sickness (such as Ripley did after floating around for 56 friggin years), so she is stuck to the ship, interacting with the crew and what not.

Then she could possibly perish at the hands of one of the creatures in the film, OR slightly more poetically, David. If he does turn out to be the villain, then her sacrificing herself to save the crew of the Covenant would be badass (and sad, I like her lol).

ORRRR if Walter turns out to be the villain, meant to bring back the information and projects what David has been working on, then having Shaw and David coming together to stop him (Shaw still dies in the process because Daniels probably has to save the day in this film) would be pretty great. 

Also, those things in the cave are interesting. It is almost impossible to tell, but I agree that they may be some combination of person, facehugger, trilobite, and xeno/neo/etc-morph. Maybe the thing in the back is a trilobite or facehugger laying near a recently bursted body and that thing more in the foreground is the creature that did the bursting making its way to a safe spot before terrorizing the people on that planet?

Shaw in stasis has been my theory regarding her fate(sort of like Matt Damon in Interstellar.)There's also some photos of Noomi Rapace where she's whereing a Covenant flight suit but i think it's just promotional.

We have to assume Davids Agenda is Priority 1, Shaws Answers is not important to David.

I dont know how this movie will be going, but Shaw plays a Small Role, that we know of...  She was on set for a week.. so surely a Week worth of shooting is more than a Hologram.  Or smaller role as per 4Chan leaks which i dont buy...

I cant really guess to much....

I would say if i was brought onto the writing team and given what appears to be the Alien Covenant Plot as far as what we can make out...

And maybe if David intended to lure in the Covenant and has been experimenting...

Then i would have indeed gone the route of having the Covenant crew find Shaw... on ICE

David could say she had to stay there as she was not to well, or something maybe that she would not wake from Cryo-sleep... maybe tell them perhaps the ships Cryo-sleep Pods was maybe not compatible and she needs Medical Attention.

We would then have to wonder what Quarantine Procedures are in Place on the Covenant and why would they trust David.

For this to work they would have to come across Shaw and David when they suspect nothing is up, and before any Hell breaks Loose..

David could request that they take Shaw to the Ship and Freeze her or put her in Quarantine.

If Shaw is infected with a Chest Buster, this would allow for one to get on the Ship and then Chest Burst at a latter point... after the Crew are trapped on the surface of Paradise.

I think this would be a interesting route to take, but i dont think we would see this at all though.

I think the two areas you've highlighted in the image of the 'cryo deck' are an empty 'pilot chair' on the left, and the control panel with chair (such as David sits in in Prometheus) onto right. I think this shot in the trailer has been carefully chosen for the trailer for one main reason - it teases the SJ chamber from the Derelict in Alien (with the 'pilot chair' shrouded in darkness, so we can't quite see if there may be something in it), and shows the familiar shot of the control panel David used in Prometheus.

I can just see the editors slowing it down to ensure nothing too much is given away, should us eager fans take still frames from the trailer!

@Fire_Stream and @Bigdave, Thanks and yeah Dave, my couple scenarios are a bit far out considering the way Covenant is set up. 

It is going to be interesting exactly how Shaw is woven into this film.

Indeed it is... i feel it would be  shame to just brush her under the Carpet.

I believe this is a Cryo-Pod

This image from Prometheus shows its in the right place

But i think for the purpose of the Trailer, its shown in a way to mislead us to think this may or may not end up the Derelict

@BigDave - yes, you've outlined a cryopod - I was referring to Fire_Stream's image, where the console was outlined.

I'm guessing that the absence of cryopods on the Derelict may well become a continuity error.

@MuzzleNZ I highlighted it cause I think it will have a role in the movie somehow... possibly like Prometheus.

well it is the chamber where 4 cryochambers and the controlsystem of the derelict ship is but its the ship that Shaw and David took to land on the planet, so either Shaw is in one of those chambers or nobody. the two highlighted areas are the console to the ship with the flute and chair + the pilots chair
