Is this David 8 walking off the lander with the Covenant crew?

I too believe it's Walter,but i like your theory.I posted two threads on this,one on my suspicions regarding Crudup,the my theory on what the strike team might be.

Walter seems to be wearing a hat or hood in the released images and it could be David trying to hide his neck scar (if one exists) and hair he either cut or burned off or colored. He may not have a neck scar.

Weyland patented David's skin in 2026 (Advanced Polyurethane Compound) and the David 8 model (2070's), unlike previous versions, is able to repair himself. And know how to take apart other David models.

Which android is standing by Crudup when he observes how an alien egg works? I don't know on that scene. Theory hole.

Interesting Debate... i was going for a while post this series of events as far as a Time Stamp... and as NineXeno426 posted a post that had the one image trying to debate it and the crew i posted what i was going to in January on his Topic..

Ingeniero your debate is a bit different and pondering if its David and not Walter as in maybe Walter was part of a different Drop Ship mission but then he went missing and replaced with David

That is interesting theory and indeed who knows, it could work... i think at least the whole previous landing Party could work as far as giving a reason for when Daniels finds those Dog Tags.

The only thing is... potential for a few Holes....

As it seems Daniels and Co are not aware, of any previous mission and where is the evidence for it?

The only way this can work at all if such a theory is to hold any weight at all...

Indeed as OT is trying to debate.... is if a Secret Set of guys depart first... Walter has knowledge of this...  and he either is the Inside kind of ASH Special Order 937 kind of guy...

Or someone else is who sends Walter down with another detachment and these guys get Lost....

But we have the missing evidence as far as what happened to any Ship they used.... The most Logical Answer would be that, either Walter is in on the Act..  and after this event he flies the Drop Ship back and alters Logs to pretend nothing happened.

Or Walter Came across and was replaced by David who performs the above.

This is the way such  a theory could hold some weight, but it would be a missed opputnity to see David and Walter play a game of Cat and Mouse..

Unless they come across Walter latter and he tries to tell them David has stolen his identity in which case, David would claim he has not and Walter is David etc etc.

As far as who is in the Cave.. when Crudup gets Face Hugged i would say its Walter, and i would also say its Walter in the Cloak too as the clothing under it seems to match what some images show Walter wearing..

Unless there was a Switch-a-roo..

I would bet these Time Stamp Images dont appear in the Trailer.. they are just a clue to the events...  yes we will get the Back Buster and this shot is the aftermath... but there is no bodies in this Shot, and i doubt they cleared out the bodies just before the Ship Blows up.

So its a Production Image... thats all... a clue however to a actual event.

So i feel we WILL NOT see this Landing Shot at Night at all... not at the start of the movie... but when we get a Big Twist we will find out about some underhanded tactics and then find out that indeed a previous group was sent down.

I feel Daniels makes this discovery when she finds the Dog Tags, if they belong to someone who is not part of the group who she was with...

The only reason why I don't think that is Walter in the cloak walking through tall grass is the long blond hair hanging out of the front left of the hood of the cloak. I didn't catch this hair hanging out (someone else in HD analysis).

I haven't noticed that yet.I believe someone confirmed that David has dark hair now,perhaps they're wrong.

Indeed the HD Clip it did look like long blonde hair.. hard to work out..

New Trailer clears a few things up ;)

Also i was meant to post a few days ago.. wish i did.. that the shot in Trailer before when they came down the ramp there was one person i thougt was Crudup in the background...  but then latter he has different coat...

The new shot of them coming down the ramp shows Crudup in same clothes he did in other shots... so this made me wonder who the hell is this guy

It was going to be my next MYSTERY Analysis....

New Trailer however confirms its a She... and also rules out Bichir as the Mystery Man in my Post..

It looks like from the second trailer that the weapon David is holding while wearing an Engineer cloak is a flare gun.

It is walter because this is when they first land on the planet

The strike team on December 05, 2104 is holding rifles different from the Weyland Storm rifle (possibly) on the floor below.

Does this image above show a person from another group entirely (carrying Weyland Storm rifles) that contributed to David 8's egg production shown below in preparation for the Covenant crew (or others)?

Did a Yutani Corporation supported crew provide the bodies needed to produce the eggs arranged (one above) to provide face huggers for the Covenant crew?
