Protomorph/Xenomorph:Which one is it?
ninXeno426
MemberPraetorianFeb-28-2017 10:22 PMI'm coming up with a theory regarding the Protomorph, until then, with the trailer officially released, what exactly are we looking at here?Is it the Protomorph? Is it a Xenomorph?Or is it possibly a full grown Neomorph(i don't think it is)What do you guys think?

Neomorph
MemberChestbursterMar-01-2017 5:40 AMConsidering how spot-on the resemblance is to the "Protomorph" description a couple of weeks ago, I'm guessing it's the Protomorph.
Then again we do see a very brief chestburster clip in the trailer....hm...

MemberFacehuggerMar-01-2017 5:43 AMMy thoughts are it is a Protomorph...The Xenos have the powerful inner jaw that has been shown to punch through all kinds of tough materials (bone, metal, glass, etc.).
If it had the inner jaw, like a Xeno, it would have definitely used it to attempt to break the glass.

MemberOvomorphMar-01-2017 5:57 AMProtomorph. Looks much more Organic and animalistic than the Xeno we know. Lacks biomechanical elements.

MemberFacehuggerMar-01-2017 6:22 AMYeah, this one doesn't grow the "suit" its arms and shoulders are completely smooth. It also has strange gaps in the musculature.
Apparently it has a level of strength that defies physics. No known creature could have held on with all the quick inertia changes going on.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

MemberPraetorianMar-01-2017 6:38 AMI'm gonna call it the Protomorb.
Very organic, all slender muscle and sinew. Love the open gaps between its tendons and it's gravity defying moves.
The original poster said RUN, even Usain Bolt couldn't outrun these beasties!
I am surprised and slightly concerned by how obvious the CGI is. Hope this gets rectified!

MemberTrilobiteMar-01-2017 8:32 AMNINXENO426 - After careful consideration and observation, I will tentatively say the creature is an adult Protomorph. It is very frightening and animalistic in appearance! :)

MemberFacehuggerMar-01-2017 8:44 AMI think we mostly agree that it is a protomorph...
I will say that it is a nasty, aggressive creature for sure...
Wonder if we will ever get a three-rounder with this and the Biomechanical Xeno. That would be nice.

MemberChestbursterMar-01-2017 9:21 AMYeah, I also say it is the Protomorph. LOVE the look of it, very badass. Actually pretty scary. Never will the Xeno or variations there of be as frightening as the first time I saw Alien, but it is funny how well these creatures do at freaking me out a little bit when seeing some of them.

MemberNeomorphMar-01-2017 9:49 AMlooks fairly masculine and muscular which id say the xeno didn't. id guess proto. which to me suggests the xeno itself is yet to be seen and may be the creation of the engineers and not david?

MemberPraetorianMar-01-2017 1:12 PMMy thoughts exactly guys. It's believed to b the Protomorph in the original poster,he matches it.

MemberFacehuggerMar-01-2017 1:41 PM@suwhited the Xenos would often ram solid obstacles with their heads rather than the second jaw.
This is definitely the protomorphs. It needs a few tweaks for full Xeno.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

MemberFacehuggerMar-01-2017 2:02 PMThis is in-fact the "Protomorph" the organic, natural version of the xenomorph notice the lack of tubing (that's right, there is no tubing), the asymmetrical, non metallic teeth, the spikes on it's back (they aren't dorsal tubes I have looked at the trailer pausing non-stop to try to prove myself wrong.), the lack of connecting hose from it's back to it's lower jaw, smaller 'shoulder guards', if you look at the dome on it's head, it's not smooth there are indentations here and there, and most of all based on it's actions it lacks Pharyngeal jaws.
Look upon my works, you mighty, and despair

MemberFacehuggerMar-02-2017 9:42 PMah yes interesting, so the observation about the animalistic appearence of the Protomorph (that i tried to refer to with the body language thread) is quiet obvious for others, too!

MemberTrilobiteMar-02-2017 9:58 PMIndeed. On that thread the Alien 3 animalistic Xeno was mentioned.
