Shaw in trailer? Which creature do we see fully grown?

MemberChestbursterMar-02-2017 11:53 AMI happed upon this article, http://www.slashfilm.com/alien-covenant-trailer-breakdown-2/?utm_source=zergnet.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=zergnet_1510045, while browsing zergnet.com.
This is a breakdown of the trailer by one of the people who apparently got to visit the set of Alien Covenant. It is a pretty standard look (compared to what we have all done and seen I'd say) at it, but there were a couple of interesting things.
First, there was their opinion on this shot in the trailer:
"It’s not clear who this mysterious, cloaked figure is standing in the middle of the wheat field is supposed to be. It could be a member of the Covenant crew. Or, if you’ll allow some irresponsible spitballing inspired by nothing beyond my own penchant for jumping to conclusions, it could be our first look at Elizabeth Shaw, who has perhaps gone full Obi-Wan during her time on this planet."
I am not sure on the height an build of the character in the cloak (seems more David size I guess), but it being Shaw is a very interesting idea that I did not think about. I previously put forth a theory that Shaw might be found in cry sleep or something and have a small role helping out the Covenant crew in the late second act/third act before dying, so maybe it is still something similar to that, except she is actually evolved into more of a badass. So instead of being killed off or dragged along helplessly by David, she is an active participant/force on the planet in the ten years since Prometheus and her last shabang is trying to help the Covenant crew.
The other thing is that the author of the article continually said that the big ol'beasty that we see at the end of the trailer and for a moment in David's workshop, is the fully grown version of the Neomorph. Was this just a mistake? Since they were on set, I would think they know the proper terminology for the creatures. It's just that the physiology of the young Neomorph to what has been deemed at the Protomorph is just too different. I can't see it getting from Neomorph to the Protomorph. I still think it might maybe possibly be the case considering that they were on set.

MemberFacehuggerMar-02-2017 11:58 AMI am guessing a slip up. My guess is the Neomorph is created via spores, the Protomorph via the egg/facehugger. The Xenomorph has yet to be made. And the Deacon may make an appearance (maybe, just maybe it got onto the Juggernaut that Shaw and David use to get to Paradise).

MemberOvomorphMar-02-2017 12:50 PMI'm probably in the extreme minority but I don't believe David did something nefarious to Shaw.. Could be wrong, but I'm hoping not as given their last conversation it was quite friendly before they flew off.

MemberNeomorphMar-02-2017 12:57 PMshaw and david left before the deacon burst out of the engineer

MemberFacehuggerMar-02-2017 1:02 PMPlot twist, Shaw has been experimenting perhaps with he goo and the person we see opened up on the table is actually David.

Are you sure they left before the deacon was born? Could have been played out of order to mess with you.

MemberChestbursterMar-02-2017 1:35 PMYep, the deacon scene for me was always like a scene at the end of the credits that lots of movies do, Marvel even does mid credit and end of the credits sometimes in the same movie. I always look at that scene as a shout out to the fans, like here's your Alien moment. Unfortunately there wasn't more moments like that in the movie, sorry disgruntled fan here who doesn't like that movie.

MemberOvomorphMar-02-2017 1:51 PMI notice the Xenomorph at the end of the trailer has longer more spider-like legs than past specimens, probably as a result of David tampering with the black goo

MemberTrilobiteMar-02-2017 2:09 PMThe creature in the trailer lacked the six fingered hands of the original also from what I could see.

MemberDeaconMar-02-2017 2:23 PMThere was a lot of other on set reports and interviews now a Embargo ended...
And this is not Shaw... it seems her fate and fate of Engineers is exactly the same as the Source leaks i gave 2 years ago

MemberDeaconMar-02-2017 2:24 PMI think what happened to her is the BIG SECRET.... and maybe they have re-wrote the Plot from planned P2, and maybe in AC she does survive.... but chances are she eventually was used by David to Transcend into something else lets say.

MemberOvomorphMar-02-2017 7:00 PMWhat's the deal with Rapace having shot weeks worth of scenes then? So Shaw died along with the Engineers? Too much conflicting infoo.

MemberTrilobiteMar-02-2017 7:02 PMThe idea of the shots for the next movie being done at the same time has been thrown around.........

MemberFacehuggerMar-02-2017 7:14 PM@BigDave i agree with you mate, that is why nothing has been released about shaw, fox is keeping her underwraps, i think
thats why the 10 year gap novelisation is to be released after the release of the film, what happens to shaw i think is going to be in the novel?
Now that would be a major spoiler, ay i could be wrong.

MemberFacehuggerMar-02-2017 8:19 PMShaw kills David and then becomes queen of the Engineers but they refuse to let her watch football so she wipes them all out and calls for help so she can get a direct satellite feed to Monday Night Football.
or not that. Ive been drinking

It is plausible except the part about direct satellite...No self-respecting Engineer would allow Dish or DirectTV into their paradise...Cable T1 connection all the way...

MemberChestbursterMar-03-2017 8:06 AMMaybe she is in the trailer. But isn't recognizable anymore.
For some reason i have the slight feeling that she's one of the morphs (not the neos).
I'm saying morphs 'couse it was mentioned that there was a stunt scene where Daniels had to run from something big. From what I've seen so none of the "aliens" strike me as "big".
Eine Theorie die nicht auf Etwas solidem basiert ist für gewöhnlich nur Geschwätz.

MemberFacehuggerMar-03-2017 8:45 AM@Suwhited- yes, fair point. T1 all the way. Paradise would not settle for a feed interruption late in the 4th qtr of a tied up division game. Unacceptable
