Possibly to a sacrifice place. Then we can see a smaller humanoid or Engineer on its knees doing to what appears worshiping something.
Possibly a flashback scene or what? They look like they have been charred like the engineers from the trailer.
what do you think is going on here? Maybe they lost their ways and were punished?

The one is bracing for impact, the one behind him is shielding himself from said event behind his fellow engineer. The one on his knees has his arms up and is bracing for impact as well, shielding his eyes.
