David and Creation

MemberPraetorianMar-06-2017 2:13 AMThanks to trailer 2,we are now fairly certain that David is indeed responsible for whatever has happened to "Paradise."But now the question is why?Is it to save Shaw?Is he trying to create the perfect organism? If so,what exactly is the perfect organism? Is it the Protomorph,or i that a mistake much like the Neomorph seem to be?Or does he simply like playing god,the created becomes the creator. What do you guys think?

I think David is, indeed, into creation/experimentation over there (in a previous post, I agreed with the idea that he may have used Shaw to experiment with, possibly then creating the eggs). But I don't think he is the only responsible for 'whatever has happened to Paradise'.
I've been thinking, after seeing the so called 'plastinated Engineer' of the red band version of trailer #2, about some possibilities (I'm actually thinking about writing a topic about it). One of them is that the lab may not be "David's lab", but one of several "Engineer's lab". David has found Engineer's failed experiments, tests that were left behind, experimentations that were later improved, and, from them, started his own.

MemberPraetorianMar-06-2017 5:15 AMI have a theory regarding the eggs as well Farlander.I have this idea i posted some time ago that, much like your self,Shaw is responsible for the egg.One idea is that we know from the emergency c-section with the trilobite, there was an umbilical cord.We also know from the hammerpedes that things spawned from black goo have a tremendous healing rate.So i got this idea that perhaps something from the umbilical kept growing inside her love perhaps an egg or something else.Another twist on that theory is that due to her being partially infected by the black goo,she starts t evolve into something else(The Fire and Stone series is an excellent example of how this can happen)love perhaps some bastardization of a queen Xenomorph. She then lays our unusual looking eggs.Perhaps from these eggs the Protomorph in spawned. Is a wild theory of course but that's why it a theory.I look forward to hearing your theory as well Farlander.

I think that, maybe to evolve to a Queen, Shaw would have to be "decently" infected by the goo, or something else. But the idea that her "baby" could be only one of the results after the contact with infected Holloway, is really interesting.
I think that David has made some experimentation on her regarding her womb. Remember she is sterile. I think David found a way to 'work' on that, maybe with the manipulation of the black goo and other mechanical stuffs. The "tubes"-like at the back of the original xenomorph from A L I E N makes me think about something like the birthing scene of Neo in the hive of Matrix. Maybe he 'improved' her womb to grow the alien by some external help, as artificial umbilical cords (that wouldn't be then umbilical anymore) attached to the back of the creature during the gestational process.

Nice theory! I'm wondering now if the rumor we hear about her locked on the engineer cryo deck is true - and that maybe instead of hiding out from David by her own choice, he actually had to quarantine her and lock her down before all hell broke loose (and maybe it did just that).

MemberPraetorianMar-06-2017 1:33 PMAnother possible theory is that she could be the mother of the Protomorph. Some one pointed out that I has some female characteristics
