Faris and the backburster?
chli
MemberChestbursterMar-13-2017 1:59 PMFaris is waving the others goodbye (as they explore the planet) and stays at the dropship? Later on Ejogo returns with the infected crew member.
They are put in quarantine and not let out until the backburster is born and Ejogo is killed.
However, the backburster smashes through the glass of the door? We can see the eploding glass window behind Faris as she runs towards the bridge.
Perhaps she locks herself in or tries to contact someone for help, or searching for a weapon?
Later on she seeks up the neomorph in an attempt to kill it?
And ends up killing the monster, herself and blowing up the dropship?

MemberPraetorianMar-13-2017 2:28 PMWell done chli,I think this is perfectly accurate on how things will unfold in the final film.Once again, well done!

MemberNeomorphMar-13-2017 2:34 PMReally good hypothesis there Chli! You may actually have hit the nail on the head. Therefore, this topic is a possible spoiler :)
Love it! Thankyou!
The poster was good though!

MemberDeaconMar-13-2017 6:19 PMMan you just spoiled 10 minutes of the movie lol
Joke... Indeed a good analysis
Still wondering where this is...
No so much to debate who that is... etc.
Just wandering if this is on the Covenant or Drop ship..
I must attempt a good look at all drop ship scenes so i can gauge a size of the ship and see where this can fit

MemberDeaconMar-13-2017 6:25 PMJust a quick estimate is the Drop ship is about 70ft long by 15ft high includes landing gear with a width of 10ft at widest point

MemberChestbursterMar-13-2017 7:26 PMI assume you gathered this the first time you watched the Christmas trailer and held it back. I figured this exact thing when I watched it on Christmas morning (gifted via text message by a friend who hates Alien ironically)
This analysis is more than likely dead on. I assume this is why they selected these scenes for the trailer.
It's somewhat interesting when you consider this is McBride's wife in the film. Him being one of the last standing (from what the trailers show) I'd assume her death is going to play a pivotal role in his transformation into a hero and perhaps alludes to the idea that Daniels experiences something similar with Branson.

MemberDeaconMar-13-2017 8:58 PMSorry got last one wrong, 12 feet wide LOL
Had few more looks and took some measurements from Trailer and Stills and on set shots..
And i estimate the Covenant Drop Ship (in Feet) to about..
16-18ft in Height
75-85ft in Length
25-30ft in Width
Would appear Cockpit is about 12 feet inside... and it would appear the Med Bay and Corridor next to it are also about 12 feet combined.. not including the outer walls to these areas.
So the Ship has potentially say 20 feet or internal width to play with and a internal height of 12-15 feet.
So indeed this shot could fit inside the Drop Ship

MemberChestbursterMar-14-2017 6:55 AMBD: Who knows? But my guess is that the picture with the headset is from The Covenant and we can hear Daniels calling for help. It seems like a bigger ship with stairs etc.
Anyway, the ones left on The Covenant (not in hypersleep, that is) are Tennessee (McBride), Hernandez and Smollet (The latter two taking a shower later on . . .).
It would seem that McBride leaves The Covenant in another dropship in order to try to save the survivors on the planet?
But how did the xeno/proto get aboard The Covenant?
Did it get a ride?

MemberDeaconMar-14-2017 8:30 AMIndeed and on another thread when trying to discus that shot, i felt the room looked to large and had steps... and so i thought it cant be on the Drop Ship....
The being also looks like it has mutated right hand and bald elongated head but it could be Farris and just how the shot was taken.
when looking at the Ship which is hard to work out as we dont have a clear front on shot, so it could be 20-30ft wide at its widest part then this Scene in previous post would fit inside.
I however still think like you do that its not the Drop Ship, as the Trailer seems to give audio from someone trying to contact the Covenant, as this being runs off... this could be a Red Herring though i.e the audio is out of sync with the scene.
But a potential smoking Gun for me is that we see Farris in other shots is contacting the Covenant from the Bridge of the Drop Ship and so if she was trying to do so again would she not try and use the same communications in the Cockpit?
Unless she has but they are not working and she knows there is another set of Communication equipment in the Cargo Hold/Passenger Hold.

MemberPraetorianMar-14-2017 9:08 AMCrazy awesome catch with the broken glass chli and great photo analysis with what has been released.

MemberDeaconMar-14-2017 9:22 AMInteresting to ponder how it got on board the Covenant, we can assume it got onto that Drop Ship (that seems to be a craft designed to take the Terra-forming Modules from the Covenant to the surface).
Then Daniels realizes and she tries to dispatch the Xenomorph, the question indeed is how does it get back onto the Ship.
And is it the same kind? Its safe to assume after Daniels gets back to the Covenant they feel the threat has gone.... why else would someone feel its safe to go and make out in a Shower.
So how does this Organism get on the ship?
Maybe it is only a Chest Buster or Smaller version of the Adult that gets onto the Ship and not a fully grown one.

MemberChestbursterMar-14-2017 11:18 AMThanks, Ingeniero (We'll see if it's correct in May) :)
Yes, BD, the ship McBride drives doesn't look like the other dropship, does it? It looks a bit larger and another design? Might have the function you propose (perhaps The covenant only had one dropship)?
Somehow I get the feeling that it's already on The Covenant. When McBride leaves in the other ship to save the survivors on "Paradise", it attacks Hernandez and Smollet (but why would they take a nice shower if they knew their friends were in danger?). When Tennessee and Daniels arrive back on The Covenant, they find them (or what's left of them) dead in the shower and need to fight the creature in order to secure The Covenant?

MemberPraetorianMar-25-2017 11:31 AMHi chli. I reversed the values on your above image.
You are able to see a reflexion of a figure in the plastic strip curtain behind Tennessee's head, directly to the left of Daniels making her way through the split curtain to get a better view of the horror.

MemberPraetorianMar-25-2017 11:35 AMThis plastic curtain is similar to a decontamination shower which would not be out of place when coming in from an exotic environment.

MemberFacehuggerMar-25-2017 11:42 AM*SPOILERS*
What you said is spot on description of what happens. In the explosion, she ignites herself and runs screaming out of the wreckage. The Neomorph is nowhere to be found. It's assumed at this point that it survives

MemberChestbursterMar-25-2017 11:49 PMOn the other hand, the neo might have escaped tand Faris just blew up the dropship and herself (unless there are more neos, of course). Here it looks like the burning dropship in the background as the neo attacks on of the crew members?
