MemberChestbursterApr-24-2017 7:46 AMSo that little "in utero" test yesterday was a bit of a slip, or an actual tease to this?

MemberFacehuggerApr-24-2017 8:06 AMDidn't they say it was going to be available “across all tethered platforms”?
My bet is Oculus bought the exclusivity again, f*ck them and their shitty practices. They are actively stripping other games of Vive support.
I hope this is not it. What we're seeing here looks nothing like what they described to us earlier this year.
I was hyped for this and now I'm just really disappointed.
Even if it's a timed exclusive, they certainly won't get my money.

MemberDeaconApr-24-2017 2:27 PMInterest insight to the Neomorph Birthing, seems to be a VR version of the Back Burster.
Seems to show a few flaws with the Backburster though, i guess not if we accept this Transformation/Gestation is a rapid event like say how we see the Infections in The Thing.
We can only assume that no soon as the infected make it to the Med-bay is when the Catalyst begins and then its a very rapid growth... mainly due to the limited space to grow a Rabbit/Small Dog size Organism.
Certain be a interesting perspective and i wonder if the Movie will show us a internal stage by stage event too....
I was also looking forwards to seeing a Fifield type Infection being shown in full like the one explained in Spaights Draft as that sounded a lot like the Werewolf Sequence from American Werewolf in London.

MemberOvomorphApr-27-2017 2:56 PMIt's an Oculus exclusive, already released, maybe released on Vive at 10 may.
For tech guys: It's a webm Facebook Cube Map 3x2 with stereo Over/Under (so, 3x4). 2160x2880 pixels. Poor 30fps. shot
So it's not the file quality the issue, the resolution is almost the maximum can exists (compatible with h265 hw profiles).
The issue it's the choosing of 360, that can only give poor quality.
Studios need to focus on photogrammetry (like this Vive Destinations) or real game-engine like Unreal/Unity...
I really don't understand the choice.
A photogrammetry of a real scenario during filming will be more easy, more cheap, and more more more effective and enjoyable as VR product.

MemberChestbursterApr-27-2017 3:00 PM@Edgy name TOTALLY agree with you about the whole Oculus BS. That platform is inferior to the Vive, and they know it, so they're using all the exclusive offers and trying to buy their way to the front. I ain't giving in to that BS. It'll be out for the others soon.
