The second protomorph host victim. Possible Spoiler!

MemberFacehuggerMay-06-2017 7:20 AMIn the film see two protomorphs one in the planet and one up in Covenant. Another spot was released showing a second character seemingly also in the cave section with Oram, and a facehugger running off, this person seems to be Damian Birch. Will he birth the second protomorph we see up in the Covenant? we know he makes it back...
Also noted is the curious fact that both gay characters suffer horrible deaths, a mouthburster and a chestburster, if confirmed to be Birch.

MemberDeaconMay-06-2017 7:51 AMWell it looks like something has attached to his face, but its a interesting shot because there is a scene where he is fine or appears to be outside the Temple Steps with Daniels.
But he is having to be carried to the Transport Lander latter on in the movie. Potentially yes he could be the Protomorph on the Ship.
I had been informed his Death is the one that will effect people the most.... and its Gruesome.
Looking at the time of events, its likely the Xenomorphs are grown nearly as fast as the Neomorphs.

MemberFacehuggerMay-06-2017 9:08 AMI think Billy Crudup is gonna be the one who births at least one of the protomorphs and Shaw could be the other victim although I doubt it. It prob will be another male character. Shaw definitely will die in a horrible way, and David is definitely gonna be the one who kills her. He maybe will use her as his first test subject but things will go horribly wrong. I also don't think it matters at all that both gay characters may die grusomely. It's an alien movie, everyone is gonna get it in pretty horrific ways. Scott is definitely not homophobic because Jessie what's his face is gay in real life. I just thought that last comment in the post about the two gay characters was a little odd. As a friend of dorthy I can honestly say I think I would be able to make it out of this movie alive if there was some magical way to insert myself into it (last action hero, style). I'm athletic, smart, and can throw down if I have too. Plus I've literally watched every Alien movie 100 times and know not to remove my helmet (Prometheus), avoid acid blood splashback (drake in aliens), and get the hell out of the way when a Xeno is slowly approaching me (lambert, Alien) lol.

Well, gay is the new black.

MemberOvomorphMay-06-2017 10:11 AMBig Dave can you hint towards why that death is so gruesome?

MemberFacehuggerMay-06-2017 10:22 AMIt looks like his face was burnt. Either fire or a mist of acidic blood.

MemberFacehuggerMay-06-2017 10:23 AMI wonder if the Xenomorth we see in the shower, doesn't actually kill the woman and man, but instead, a xeno bursts out of the mans chest while he's in the shower with her?
Hmm hehe

'Birch' - I wouldn't like to be called Spelling Na(z)i, but the names of actors is a different area, I think. Respect! His name is Bichir, Demián Bichir.
Plus, it is such a ridiculous sentence! For me, Ledward's (Benjamin Rigby) death scene is the most horrible - so far. Does he suffer that death because he did this in another movie?

SPOILER ALERT
You obviously haven't read any of the reviews or early reactions. Shaw is only in the film very briefly and she does not die a horrible death at David's hands.

MemberOvomorphMay-06-2017 4:51 PMAll the way back to 1979, we've watched Xenomorphs dine on characters we came to think of as family. The blue collar stiffs on the Nostromo. The bold Colonial Marines who were instant cinematic icons. Inmates we loved and cheered on the defenseless prison planet where lice could have really created some Giger hairdos with the help of a little Black Goo. Soulless scientists working for a sinister United Systems military, and cruel, boring mercenaries delivering ill-fated human cargo to them. (I can't remember any particular AVP victims except that poor father and son just practicing the oh-so-Christian thrill-kill sport of "hunting.") I felt sad seeing the clip with Rosenthal. Good fiction lets us suspend our disbelief. I wanted to warn her so she could live a full life and be fruitful and multiply the human way, not the Xeno way. But of all the Covenant movie couples, straight, gay or any other term, the one I now wish Scott had gotten rid of is David and Shaw. Five years ago I cared about Elizabeth Mary Shaw and was intrigued by the innocent but sneaky David-8. "The Crossing" turned out to be salt in the wounds of Shaw fans. David apparently fools her twice. It was kind of a relief to see I'm a better artist than a brilliant android, though. Unless I'm missing a masterpiece on my phone's 5" screen.
I've loved Alien since I was a kid terrified to see the big Kenner figure's dome glow in the dark every night from one of my bedroom cabinets after I finished my homework, read, listened to Williams and Goldsmith scores for an hour, and went to bed. Famous Monsters magazine spent months speculating about the movie, and they got Giger onto the bookstand at our Walmart in B-F Egypt. I thought the "millions of years old and perhaps benign Space Jockey" was more fascinating than Kane's son itself.
But Covenant comes down to a bad Ripley fill-in and a guy named Tennessee (!) battling a one-dimensional crazed robot.
And if you lay out your money for this movie, you'll see five more Daniels/Tennessee/David yawners...maybe even have some great-grandkids to take to the last one with ya. "Prometheus was a mistake"...all the sequels/digressions after Aliens weren't?

I have read early reviews and reactions to the film and watched the prologue with David/Shaw. I am fully aware that people have said she's only in it briefly. In the prologue David puts her in the hypersleep chamber and says how kind she is and closing her in but I am 99% sure that's not the only scene she is in. Dont you think it's possible that what people are saying and that scene are attempts at misdirecting people so her fate will be a surprise when we all get to see the movie? And reviews can be ambiguous especially when they were probably told to keep certain events of the movie a secret til it's released globally. Also do you really think that's the only scene Shaw is gonna be in? Did you see the movie? There was no need to respond condescendingly to my post but I guess you haven't developed healthy copying skills or like to be a jerk to strangers so u can momentarily feel better about yourself. The reason I think she still dies is because the scene that was also shown in one of the trailers with her as a hologram talking to the Covenant crew. They all look pretty anxious while their watching her talk. In the hologram she also has her arms extended out and appears to be trapped in some kind of device. My personal opinion that was formed by watching numerous trailers/reviews/spoilers is that David is gonna wake her up after he is done bombing the engineers and experiment on her since he just wiped out all life on the engineers planet. This is just my opinion and it's why this forum exists. I am more then happy to respond to you if you have anything constructive to say, but will ignore any more attempts to put me down because it's not worth my time.
