A few ideas for Alien movies if Ridley Scott were not to be involved?

MemberNeomorphMay-10-2017 4:32 PMI know this may sound blasphemous for many. But what if Ridley Scott would leave the Alien franchise? Let's speculate about the directors and casts you would like to see lined up for the perfect Alien movie. What all these movies have in common is that in all of them, the Xenomorph reigns supreme.
Here some examples:
"Alien: Crusader"
Franchise sold to to Disney, this is a direct sequel to "Aliens")
Directed by: JJ Abrams
Cast:
Elizabeth Winstead as Ripley (she looks just like her)
Chloe Grace Moretz (Newt)
Bill Skarsgard (sythetic)
Xenomorph count: untold numbers
"Alien: Game Over"
Directed by: Jordan Peele (Of "Get Out" fame, can make a 5 million investment into 200 million return)
Written By Jordan Peele, a very fun, action packed and original take on Alien
Cast:
Zoe Zaldana (Captain Nostromo II)
Tom Hardy (Second in command)
Sigourney Weaver (older Ripley)
Rami Malek (synthetic)
Michael Fassbender (evil A.I., secondary character, Michael Fassbender is a character actor!)
Xenomorph number: under wraps
"Alien: Awakening" (takes place in the colony planet the Covenant was heading to)
Directed by David Fincher (he gets a second chance, with no interference from the studios!)
Screenplay by: Newbie (no rewrites, Newbie just happens to be brilliant)
Starring: Jennifer Lawrence (colonist)
Daniel Craig (colony superintendent)
Miles Teller (colonial marine)
Gal Gadot (synthetic, pleasure model)
Armie Hammer (Jennifer Lawrence's husband) Katherine Waterston (cameo)
Xenomorph count: As many as there are colonists
"Alien: Engineers" (taking place on the Engineers homeworld, this would be a fanboy wet dream about Alien mythology)
Directed & produced by Guillermo del Toro
Cast:
Emma Stone (Earth envoy)
Tom Hiddleston (Jesus Christ clone)
Mia Wasikowska (synthetic)
Xenomorph count: A planet full of them
Waiting to be produced...

MemberFacehuggerMay-10-2017 4:56 PMThere could be a movie about a team sent by Weyland-Yutani whose objective is to capture a live xeno.
Directed by James Wan!

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2017 4:59 PMAlien:Chromosone.
After the Covenant ship got exposed by gamma radiation after Davids failed attempt, several cryo-egg got severed damaged.
10 Years after the accident almost half of the new population got down syndrome, causing a new breed of xenos to rise to power. The xenotard.
Daniels is faced with this new, uncontrollable alien that has NO remorse what so ever.
Rated R. (expect sloppy editing and gruesome images).

MemberPraetorianMay-10-2017 6:10 PMWell, it is inevitable that R. Scott will retire at some point, given his age. NO one can work forever after all.
Great topic!! Some of the casting suggestions and director choices above would be really choice!!

MemberChestbursterMay-10-2017 6:17 PMI dont think so about an early Ridley retirement, as director is more restless and visceral than G. Lucas for example. He can bring us great new releases linked or not to Alien Universe.

MemberNeomorphMay-10-2017 6:19 PMdk Get the hype machine going and most of these projects are viable lol

MemberPraetorianMay-10-2017 6:28 PMI think you misunderstood me.
I was simply stating that at some point, R. Scott will have to step-down...granted that might mean when he's over 100 yrs old and drops dead while working on an ALIEN film, but age and mortality are what they are.
I just hope it's not for a good and long time to come!

MemberNeomorphMay-10-2017 6:32 PMI would like to see an Alien movie written by the best sci-fi writer working today: Alex Garland ("28 Days later", "Judge Dredd" reboot, "Ex Machina", "Annihilation")

MemberNeomorphMay-10-2017 7:11 PMWell Slab_bay your version seems more in line with the new direction the franchise is taking. And I am sure Michael Shannon can kick David's butt LOL
And yes, it's about time we get that damn Quality Control W/Y Android Division, or a Robopsychology specialist like Susan Calvin in Isaac Assimov's stories.
