Hologram shows Shaw giving birth

MemberChestbursterMay-25-2017 7:49 PMI was re-watching the Take Me Home tv spot after hearing a critic mention that it looks like something comes out of Shaw in the hologram. I don't remember noticing this in the movie but went back to the tv spot to verify and it is true. At the 0:26 mark, she does have what looks like something pop out of her.
Is this just a visual illusion? Does anyone remember seeing this in the movie?
UPDATE:
I found a full boot of the movie on youtube in Hungarian or some other language. The quality was good enough that I used it as an opportunity to review this scene.
So either they cut that shot out of the scene or that spike is actually one of the ripples of light that seem to be emanating from the hologram the entire time it is active. (I couldn't find any part that looked exactly like that shot)

MemberDeaconMay-25-2017 7:51 PMThis was discussed before... i would assume its just the light bouncing off the Chair.

MemberChestbursterMay-25-2017 8:01 PMI was considering that, but I couldn't find any booted clips of the whole scene to confirm. The tv spot is indeed set up to mislead, as that object appears directly in sync with a solitary drum beat.

MemberNeomorphMay-25-2017 8:32 PMI used to think that but no. I have no idea why they scrambled the image like that though. I can understand it would have interference when they got the transmission on the Covenant, but not at the point of origin. In Prometheus you could clearly see what was in the holograms. Just another stupid thing that makes no sense.

MemberOvomorphMay-25-2017 8:53 PMIf I remember correctly, the tone and effect used on her voice in that message are eerily similar to Dallas undergoing his 'egg transformation' in Alien: Director's Cut. "Kill me" and "Take me home" have an eerily similar connotation, if you think about it.

MemberChestbursterMay-25-2017 9:08 PMI did notice she sounded distressed when she was singing, and perhaps winded? I'll have to listen more closely when I go for round 2

MemberChestbursterMay-25-2017 10:45 PMi watched a:c again last night and i noticed that when david shows oram around the lab he says:
"heres OUR successes"
which possibly indicates shaw had some involvement.
whether she wanted to or not?

MemberFacehuggerMay-26-2017 6:00 PMJoyoylitt, you're a poet and don't know it. Thanks for the giggle. "Just another stupid thing that makes no sense". You know, I bet that comedic first time director of "Get Out" says horror is his favorite. I bet he would knock an Alien film out of the park. Ridley just seems so consumed with this nonsense, give somebody else a shot.

Let me play devil's advocate here and suggest the display tech was damaged from the crash?

MemberTrilobiteMay-26-2017 6:36 PMQueenElizabethShaw Yep! This has been discussed before and I noted the drum beat synch too. The chair back idea seems unlikely since the actual chair backs were huge. It looked like spikes shooting out of her back to me. That said, I haven't seen the movie ;). I just know enough that she is a goner.

MemberChestbursterMay-26-2017 6:50 PMI keep forgetting that you are holding off, but yea at least in the trailer, you get that impression. I think I'm seeing it again tomorrow but it's currently up in the air.

MemberTrilobiteMay-26-2017 7:32 PMQueenElizabethShaw Thanks but I learned how to filter info- if I see a phrase such as "When Walter did..." I glance to the next post lol! I have to admit to watching the bombing part accidentally on purpose on a YT phone video. It will not spoil my experience. If it does it is my own fault :)

MemberOvomorphMay-29-2017 7:49 AMI've seen the movie twice and I feel like that isn't cut from the movie at all. The framing of the shot in the image we see here and in the movie do look odd. But when I viewed it in the movie the shot isn't framed like that at all and much wider. The light expands and fills the room and I feel like there wasn't anything intended or cut from the film.

MemberChestbursterMay-29-2017 8:37 AMWhen I say cut from the film, I mean in the same manner that some other scenes were modified between the trailer and the actual movie. For example, in the trailer we see Faris running down the corrdior during the backburster scene and the glass of the medbay blows out behind her. In the movie itself, we don't see the glass break while watching Faris run, we see it break while getting a head on shot of the baby neo-morph smashing it's face through.

MemberXenomorphMay-29-2017 8:56 AMDon't we see a vision of Elizabeth when Tennessee first gets the message(while he's in space)!?
I've watched it 3 times and swear I see Shaw displayed on his visor...it's a cool little touch! (If that's what i saw)
