COVENANT
"He survived, he’s now in Disneyland in Orlando, and no way am I going back there. How did he end up in Disneyland? I saw him in Disneyland, Jesus Christ!"

Jonesy what was finally the point of Charlize Theron being in Prometheus?
Ms. Vickers was an android and will be sent by Weyland-Yutani to confront David in the next movie?

Prometheus every day and twice on sunday. I have prometheus on blu ray, wont be buying covenant

although prometheous is slightly better, alien covenant is more entertaining so covenant. love them both though. prometheous would probably get an 8.5/10 and alien covenant would get an 8/10.

Prometheus! I have grown to love what Covenant is, but I can't not watch Prometheus!
Not a map, an invitation

Prometheus, It expanded the Alien universe :)
Obsession is a Power, not a Curse ;)

Goodness...
I always saw these movies as Yin and Yang. One provides something the other doesn't but still be an amazing experience.
Only from sheer intensity and the whole body clenching experience I get from Covenant I would pick that one. It truly was an experience like no other movie in a long time (Since The Witch). I tend to praise movies that move me physically and Covenant did that in spades! I would rank that up there with many of the best movies that moved me like Black Swan, Take Shelter, Melancholia, and Antichrist.
Prometheus is no pushover either. It took a second watch to really love it (exactly like Blade Runner) and it has only gotten better since. The color and beauty is at 11 here instead of the dread and intensities like Covenant. Both are such wonderful films and I am happy to have the DVD for both!

Prometheus.
I love Alien: Covenant too and its starting to grow on me more each pass but Prometheus....well, you know.

Prometheus for Zombie Fifield and Shaw's baby and the Juggernaut crashing.....
Alien:Covenant is hard core...what a ride...Going to have to watch it another 20 times before I can put in a verdict.

VivisectedEngineer I plan to rewatch tonight and only got through about 1/4 of the extras.

@dk
O_O Oh man! Now I can't decided whether I should wait to watch it with my friends, or go ahead and dive into the extras without them, lol.

Good to see a mix of Covenant and Prometheus likers. Shows both films have their merits :)

Prometheus 100%. The plot actually does something. Covenant is fun but aside from David getting on board with the facehugger embryos, there is very little plot movement. Covenant = more deaths. Prometheus = mystery and pure sci fi
I think this trilogy is going to be like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars once they're finished: each one building on the last. They can't really stand very well on they're own, rather they are 3 parts to one, whole story. You can't watch one without watching the rest

Prometheus
( I like both AC and prometheus).

Great post by Nastdane. For me it's Covenant for the same reason. Prometheus was fantastic, but Coventant was gripping in a way not many movies are.

Covenant. I LOVE Prometheus and what it does for the franchise and the introduction of David and the pathogen but David's continued journey in Covenant is way more intriguing. I love how dark it got and David's descent into madness feels so Giger inspired. It's also endlessly quotable just like Prometheus but even more so.
