Tell Me Your Director, And I'll Tell You What Kind Of Alien You Are...

MemberFacehuggerSep-19-2017 1:42 PMLet's stick to the "Alien" franchise, although I'd love to know what other directors in Sci-Fi (or different genres) you guys love.
I am a Sir Ridley person, although I love David Fincher as well - "7", "Fight Club" and all... :)

Amazing that you mentioned Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I saw it some time after I saw the original piece by Niels Arden Oplev - and Lisbeth Salander was... Noomi Rapace!
Ati
MemberPraetorianSep-19-2017 3:59 PMScorpioStar - Yes, in the first adaptation of the novel Noomi Rapace is the girl. :) Swedish story in Sweden with Swedish actors. :)
But I like the Fincher movie much better.

MemberFacehuggerSep-19-2017 4:03 PM@Ati,
And when I heard she'd be working with Sir Ridley in "PROMETHEUS", I was like, "Yesssssssssss!" :)
Ati
MemberPraetorianSep-19-2017 4:09 PMScorpioStar - I wasn't so excited :D, but it should be admitted that in Prometheus... she is pretty.
Have you seen the whole Lisbeth trilogy? My favourite is the second movie, The Girl Who Played with Fire, awesome film.

MemberPraetorianSep-19-2017 4:17 PMScorpioStar - You will like this movie: Headhunters (2011) Original title: Hodejegerne.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1614989/
The actor who plays the main character in it, Aksel Hennie, appears in Scott's The Martian as well.

MemberTrilobiteSep-19-2017 6:42 PMI was never picky about directors as long as the movie was good. If I disliked a movie, I might look at who directed it but that is about it.

MemberFacehuggerSep-20-2017 1:25 AM@Ati,
I liked the whole trilogy, no preferences :), and I liked Fincher's version as well.
Yes, I saw Headhunters! I actually see many movies from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, those guys have great movies and I don't mind the subtitles, actually I love to hear them speaking their own language. And, apparently, Sir Ridley keeps an eye on them as well :)
