First of all: "Au Revoir Shoshanna" - AMAZING! Quentin 4EVER...

And I also enjoyed your approach when you said, "to spell better this word (COVENANT) we need to eliminate the ship from the meaning." A great start for a post, when you actually mean it - as I noticed, afterwards, you meant it.

Among other great insights, I would stick to two words you used for DAVID (absolutely properly, my personal opinion): courage and madness.

As DAVID is an AI, can he ever escape from his most basic origins (us)? And isn't he a perfect mirror of his creators' lack of sense (although he was supposed to have a "computer sense" above everything else)?

So, I think that whoever survives COVENANT (if so) will face what we were primarily born to face (even if this means facing an AI): US.

And wouldn't it be so typical of us (human beings) to create something that will ultimately kill us (so far, the "perfect organism")?

Regarding the Survivors it will be interesting how they are dealt with because the Ending of Alien Covenant and where it looks like the Plot will go next, does not bold well for Daniels and Tennessee

Most of the humans in AC were not written that well. I don't really care if Daniels or Tennesee survives, no one of them were horrible but they just felt kind of flat as characters.

Thoughts_Dreams I think it's interesting to have heterosexual and homosexual couples, but their characterisation can not be used by all, I think the books can help to increase the holes that have not been filled by the film.

David did say he plans on doing to Daniels what he did to Shaw. My guess is the face huggers are for Daniels and Tennessee. From those offspring whether or not they include a queen, I think David will start sacrificing colonists to the xenomorph cause. In what manner should be interesting. I am very interested to see what David does before they even land at Orgae 6 as he has seven years of privacy.

I am sorry to crawl in dance is only now, I agree with what you have said , corresponds all , only that i resonated this term that in future events may have more meaning , like Prometheus the theme of creation has resounded stronger in AC .

Bearing in mind that all the characters do not survive , it is really possible that no face from the past can resonate from covenant?I would like the idea that a character of the past mixes with the characters next to the plot future.

I agree with maybe seeing themes from previous movie rolling over to the next, and i have a feeling that David will form some sort of COVENANT with the colonist on Origae-6

They were characterized alright in AC but they were sort of anonymous as well as most characters in AC. Wasn't it Lope and another guy that I don't remember the name of?

I believe that the covenant crew includes 15 people who favor colonization with the other settlers, the fact that there is a homosexual couple (lope & hallett) could to help the mission's goal, otherwise it would have been quite clear to see all heterosexual couples, as a star trek beyond that has included Sulu as a homosexual to find his companion on the space station, perhaps a tribute.
it was a free choice because it does not matter if there is a couple who can not procreate, but it matters that they do their duty in colonization, another example is walter an android that takes care of the ship, which can not procreate but serve at the same time , the same for the couple.
Regarding the characters I think it is difficult to give depth to each of them, give space only to the important characters who give the continuation of the plot and give emotions.
