@Cinefan, The Dome at the Archlight is a great theater with a good screen, but if Mann's Chinese has it, then imo I'd go there! The next best, closest, great screen to Mann's would probably be the IMAX theater at Universal City Walk. If I'm in Cali during June then I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mann's Chinese gets Prometheus! Mann's got the horrible AVPR which I saw at midnight with like 15 people in a theater that seats hundreds lol

This better have a midnight showing here in the UK! For some reason I think only the newest Harry Potter and Twlight movies had midnight showings. . . :( Crap movies! Prometheus is the most eagerly awaited sci-fi movie in what 20+ years!

I don't know about the midnight showing...but I do know I plan to see it in both 2D and 3D......2D first, because I'm not a fan of the whole 3D craze. However, I do trust Ridley and the fact that this film was designed for 3D, so that eases my concern. And I'm hoping it's good enough to warrant breaking my record for theater viewing of a single film....9 times.

@GigerFace. I think I did decide on The Dome. Being a huge movie nut I have been to The Chinese theater as well as the one at Universal City Walk, but never to The Dome, so I think I gotta go this time. It was either Prometheus or Ghost Rider (ya, right! kidding) Plus how can you beat reserved seating? By the way I'm certain The Chinese Theater will get it.

@craigmore I will also be seeing it in both 2D and 3D. Ridley did say at Comic Con that he would always film in 3D from now on. So if Ridley says that, I will believe him. I will be seeing Prometheus in two different theaters. The reason for that is that one theater is newer and has stadium seating and is better equipped for 3D. The other theater has been remodeled recently and took out all of its seats and put in Really Nice big recliners. It is really relaxing and comfortable. Makes it a lot better seeing a movie the wife wants to see. You could easily go right to sleep laying down in the chair. LOL.

In my hometown, there's this really nice one screen theater built in the 30's called The Catlow and its interior is reminiscent of those beautiful palace theaters of old; all decked out in ancient velvet theater seats and wall to wall wood carvings in the rafters with electric candle lighting...it's Fantastic!.....as much as I'm dieing to see 'Prometheus' period, I cannot stand the wait to see it in this theater where I saw my first movie ever as a kid....'The Jungle Book'......The Catlow is absolutely my favorite place to see a movie, hands down....and to see 'Prometheus' on that screen...it makes me giddy....

Anybody knows where will be its premiere, where the actors are present too?

My sister works for a cinema and they usually do a staff screening for most of their films about a week before general release (just to test for hicups etc)... My sis says Im more than welcome to see prometheus when they get the reels in..... FRING!!

@spacejock Being that Scott is from England and that's where it's being filmed my bet is that's where the main premiere will be.

Alien never had an official premiere it was funny listening to veronica cartwright say on the anthology they had to buy their own tickets and wait in line but that was 33 years ago.

@Cinefan, Ghost Rider will be another midnight showing with 15 people lol! And yeah the Dome is pretty nice just make sure you demand those guys turn the frickin air condition on! I've went to several premieres there from Transformers (shakes my head) to the Dark Knight (smiles for an awesome film) and both were during he summer and it was so hot inside the theater! And @spacejock, @Cinefan is probably right, Prometheus will most likely world premiere in the UK with a second premiere at Mann's Chinese in Hollywood which usually follows suit with movies this big.

The official world dates could give a clue to the premiere because there are places that are getting it well over a week before anywhere else and there are some countries that cant see it until September which is odd.

For me it depends on where I am at. I could be in Chicago, Detroit or Cincinnati. If I'm in Chicago I'm going to the burbs to watch it at Batavia's Theater to watch it in IMAX 3D. They have excellent plush rockers, there.

And one more thing: the PG-13 rating is ONLY for trailer coming and not for the movie...

Releasing it during SuperBowl would be a good way to generate interest in the movie, especially with fans who have never watched the original Alien movies i.e younger people perhaps. As this movie will definitly be number 1 at the box office when it's released, but it needs more people to be aware of it I think. As at the minute the only movie I keep hearing people bang on about is Dark Knight Rises, which will be good but nowhere near Prometheus. In both storyline, acting and visually!

If the trailer is going to be shown during Superbowl??? being a family friendly show it will be a PG-13, I don't recall Ridley Scott making Kids films,But a 15 rating may not be out of the realms of possibility!! hope it's an 18. I'm sure I've seen lower rated trailers for 18 movies before,depends where they are airing!! if you're at the cinema watching a 15 movie they will show trailers appropriate to that rated show.well in the UK they do.

@Wheresbasky?, you and many people are being in illusion of R and PG-13 speculation...why do you think that it will be a kid like movie , because of the rating? It won`t just have the Saw like scenes, or are you fond of bowels, too much blood etc...The movie will have the great plot, as RS said it will be the main advantage as well as the atmosphere of the movie, and it will be scary by itself...If you think the movies like Saw and others are epic and great....that is not scary that is just a waste. Guys, if u wanna be scared as shit u must see our Soviet Union new movies about the 2nd war, how our goverment was killing their own people, how they just gave the soldiers only a stick, and they should fight with it against the rifles.....Never Mind lol^^ i think RS is making the true masterpiece even with a PG-13 rating it will be scary....And if you were for example 15 years old, would you be happy not to be able to see this movie? Sorry, but no Prometheus trailer is coming tomorrow. With the film still a ways off and the first trailer still pretty new it may be probably another 3-6 weeks before we see something new. Besides the fact that a list of studios that bought Super Bowl airtime was released a few days ago and 20th Century Fox was not on that list. They seem to be taking a very old school approach to this film. Rewatch the original Alien trailer. Very little is shown in regards to the story and the Alien is not even shown in it. Excited fan that can't wait.

Offical confirmation of NO ad tomorrow nigth from brandchannel.com: "The real story of this year's Super Bowl film trailers is all the ones that will not be shown. Trailers for some of the biggest titles of 2012, the ones we would expect to see during the Super Bowl, will be absent, including promos for Brave, Snow White and the Huntsman, Wrath of the Titans, Prometheus, Dark Knight Rises, Skyfall, The Amazing Spider-Man, reboot and Men in Black 3."

I keep hunting, but other than the British ratings confirmation.....there's no info of any kind yet as to when or in what capacity we'll get Trailer B.

yeah, if it is known, then somebody will definitly release that info...As for me i hope it will be released in a week or 2 as maximum( speed)...crysis power lol

We already discussed this in another thread. Fox is a no show along with Warner Bro's and several others. It will be close to 90ish day left befora another trailer. So March. 3 Stooges will be a Fox release and around a 90 days left. This will be followed by a May TV abush of spot realeases. Then its here. So nothing in this short month of Feb. Nothing in April. March and May seem the logical time frame for building momentum foir the June Releases.

Jeystone, I just watched alien again tonight.. and I it was the first time I noticed that she says "micro changes my ass", so I suspected that he had that planned before hand.. and then I read this.. lol.. But he did pause in an odd fashion before stating the micro changes.He proceeded to cut the leg/finger because Dallas demanded it. So maybe in Prometheus they will find out that the creatures have acid for blood. Maybe then Ash would know what would happen and that is why he made a cut in an area that would not harm Kane.. Once again.. that is funny you posted this and I never even noticed.. lol
