Try this, right click your icon whether you can see it or if its blank and click "view image" Then when your image pops up right click the image itself and click on the "Copy Image Location" Then go to your profile, edit profile and place that link into your image bar, then update your profile.

ALSO BugHunter will be uploading the newer GIFS i made to the Prometheus-Movie.com server. So you should be able to see them tonight. Reason why I don't use Photobucket for GIF often is because usually GIFS are larger than regular still photos and they are compiled of hundreds of frames rather than 1 still frame. When I upload them to Photobucket they are shrunk to fit the size limit of Photobucket's which is around 3 MB. Additionally the 200 x 160 GIF images I process for the members here are then shrunken down to 40 x 20 nearly microscopic size. Postimage.org is the only site as of right now that will allow GIF images like mine to stay in contact without the issue of shrinkage. There are a lot of kinks still being worked out. GIF images are new to A LOT of people and most image hosting websites won't let you upload images that are higher than 2 MB and most of the time they won't even let you upload animated GIFS. I can see EVERYONE'S GIF image. It might be Postimage.org's problem or it easily could be a issue on the members side. Either way bare with us as some of these problems are going to take sometime to work out. I suggest you keep trying different troubleshooting techniques to help solve the problem. I told BugHunter about the Postimage.org forum app he can download for Prometheus-Movie.com which would enable its server to be connected with this one and allow all members to upload images through the Postimage.org server to this one. That might solve all these problems. BugHunter is pretty busy right now but he will get back to me soon. Hope some of this information helped, Ripley Clone 8

click on the empty space where your gif should be and select view image in the drop down box... you should then see it appear in a new tab.... then right click and copy url of image and post it into your profile picture url box and viola should be ok.

@ Hukerlover - LOL man you've pasted the link into your status - select and copy (Ctrl + C) the address RC8 sent you. - open a new tab in your browser and paste (Ctrl + V) into the address bar - when the page loads up, right click the GIF and select "Copy Image URL" - go to your profile, make sure the URL field is empty and paste (Ctrl + V) [b]IMPORTANT[/b] - Make sure there are no spaces Voila, that should work.

ARHHHHHHHHHH chaps I cant see the image on the browser and when i right click the pic and show picture nothing happens i still cant see any bodys giffs other than RC8 and Snorkelbottoms

Okay follow me to the letter... - Right click you image in this thread (big white square with a small broken image icon in the middle) - Select open image in a new tab - Go to that tab and you should see you GIF displaying, right click on the GIF and select copy image url - Come back here and go to your profile by clicking on your name - Select all the text in the box for your profile pic and hold backspace for 2 secs - Hold CTRL and press V - Click on the password field and type in your password - Click the Apply Changes button I apologise for it being an anal guide but, it should ensure success (fingers crossed)

The site RC8 currently uses redirects your URL on their server side, so Prometheus-Movie.com is not getting the correct image url, thus not displaying. Read [url=http://www.prometheus-movie.com/community/forums/topic/1276]this thread[/url] for a possible solution, otherwise try signing up on a free image host provider which offers embedding options for media and simply use the direct URL provided by them. I'm debating on the idea of having GIFs being limited to members who have a post count over 100 or so. As I could then upload them to our server for faster viewing. If every member on here uses a GIF, it will slow the site down, regardless of how lightweight our platform is. So maybe limiting custom avatars is a good way to promote more active members and save on memory for the site. I'm locking this thread now as there are already about 3 separate threads on this issue. Well... I'm making a royal mess of things here... This image is me putting the finishing touches on one of my aural sculptures (sculptures I make with my original music imbedded in them, so when you walk up, the piece basically "sings" to you. ...but it supposed to be one of my alien sculpts (I've made both a scale drone and queen in the past) with my goofy face next to it (to take the place of my non-existent emoticon) which is why I started this topic. But my iPad has obviously become possessed and has decided to screw up all my files. I'll post one more pick from my studio in an attempt to wrap this debacle up.
