The alien is hands down the scariest monster ever created in film making, why wouldn't it make an appearance? I don't think it gets old as people suggest, I think it has endured for 30+ yrs and will continue to do so

my understanding is it IS but in a different form than we are used to seeing it as. which makes perfect sense.

About the trailer.... The link from this post is my first viewing of it and honestly I don't see any of what ya'll are referring to. All I can make out is some explosions, people running around in space suits and what not, granted the quality is very poor, is there perhaps a link to a site that is better or do I have to wait for the actual release? I have a feeling we are going to get a christmas present from ridley in form of trailer release for war horse, that would put a nice ending to christmas day, would it not?

Agent Mothman, i agree invader zim is amazing :D and i also agree with the derelict crashing being the last 8 minutes because its a 2 part movie right? has anyone looked into if they are filming them separately or filming at the same time and releasing on different dates just like the last harry potter because some of the images like the space jockey could be from part 2 and the trailer just says Prometheus not Prometheus part 1 so that makes sense to me. that also means that part 2 will have much more to do with alien then part 1, can anybody confirm how they are filming fore me???? because i have no idea how to find out that stuff........

I've not seen all of these films. Some of the ones I have I had no idea Scott had directed. He directed Legend? That was a pretty awful film. Thelma & Louise as well? Didn't know that was Scott. There isn't a director or Producer on earth that even come close to making as many 8's & 9's as Ridley !!! Ridley Scott is FLAT OUT one of Motion Pictures all time greatest directors and like I said there aren't very many that even come close. His body of work is unprecedented. His company is the likes of Leone, Kubrik, Coppola, Lumet, Pekkinpah, Spielberg, Lucas and Depalma. "BLACK RAIN" IMO is a Fantastic action crime drama with a fabulous score by Hans Zimmer set in Japan and with great acting and is at least an 8.0 or higher !!! I did not like Thelma and Louise AT ALL but giving that movie a 6 is way way wrong it is a 9 at least even though I hated it !!! It is one of the most loved films of all time and I freely admit that even though I despised that film. Oh and one last thing in response to what Neurion wrote about the Perfect 10 in film history !!! I don't think I have either, however of the closest 2 films I have ever seen to a perfect 10 ...one of them is his. They Are... "2001: A Space Odyssey" & The Extended Dirctors Cut Of "Gladiator" !!!

i have conflicting feelings about Scott. not that he is bad or anything but i have only seen 2 of his movies (alien and blade runner) and the only reason he is my 3rd favorite director is because of alien. my top director list and my favorite movie from them 1.) James Cameron, aliens/abyss 2.) Steven Spielberg, raiders/jaws 3.) Ridley Scott, alien 4.) Sylvester Stallone, rocky balboa 5.) George Lucas (before he got brain damage) star wars episode 4/5

ridley scott directed gi jane? i always thought it was his shaky cam obsessed brother. well that's definitely a new level of versatility.

Sure looks like an Old School "Xeno" to me in that 2nd pic, you can see the old school spine and the legs and that is quite the find. Great Job isolating that man !!! Tx.
