i hope it is R but not because i love blood or violence or anything but with an R rating you have more artistic freedom to do whatever you want and films usually end up better.

Same here. I truly feel this film should be rated "R". We can only hope. A legendary filmmaker like Ridley Scott making a Science Fiction film like Prometheus should be attended by audiences who actually recognize his work and appreciate it. Younger teenagers probably don't know a whollle lot about the definitive revolutionary work of Ridley Scott. Very few do. This film is for mature audiences. No hyped up, in-mature children should attend. The dark violence he will produce in this film should be on a rated "R" level.

2001 a space odyssey had no blood in it. r rating isn't necessary for sci fi at all. it depends on what the director wants to accomplish. i get the sense this is more like 2001 than alien.

That's the feeling I get too...makes sense as well to navigate the ship that way...

I am betting the dude..the black dude that is wrecks the ship into something, thus something heroic to save them....they eject in a large EEV..like we see in some of the shots where it looks like a box on the ground with a door...

Approx 15-16 seconds in. When I first watched it I thought it was someone getting thrown but on closer inspection they do appear to be levitating! Very intersting.

I wonder with the scene where Vickers and a Shaw are running to avoid the crashing jockey ship will be the very planet the Notstromo comes too...

makes sense perfect sense actually now that I think harder and longer about it, If some species man or other can use a Big Giant head to "BioMechanically" power a space ship then "Levitation" has to be like a cheap party trick for them...LMAO !!!

I am willing to say that the ship, the Prometheus will be used as a missile to crash into something or to be like Notstromo, the whole crew is infected and Rapace and Vicker's escape as the Capt squanders the ship....

When those two are running from a crashing ship, I think one of those is Kate Dickie. U can see her face when freezing the image on a right spot.

I tired freezing it when the girl gets whipped off the screen to the right at the end but I could not make out any face hugger like creature only lots and lots of debris. I couldn't help but notice the same thing. I was like huh? lol. It looked cool though.

Whatever that large object is, it doesn't make sense that it would be under power. It's moving too slowly for that, relative to the motion of the characters on the ground, unless they're taking[i] considerable[/i] artistic license.

it's the same director returning to the same territory as his most accomplished film, so that's pretty much a given. also, you said that a human transforms into the star beast? if so, that gives credence to the theory i lazily thought up about the alien being created from humans.

@walterchiller: it makes sense Scott would dig deep into things / ideas that perhaps didn't really work for the 1st film, that now (perhaps) work for this new film the "STARBEAST" is referenced in Ron Cobb's book, as the name he gave his own design for the alien, crude looking in comparison to Giger's fantastic looking final design of the Alien in the leaked script i referred to, it's one of the androids that transforms into said beast, making it half mechanical and half alien (providing that leaked script is legitimate. from the looks of these 2 new teaser trailers, that seems to be the case. and the leaked script named this hybrid creature "STARBEAST" specifically, which added to my suspicion that Scott is delving deep into the 1st films pre-production artwork and ideas time will tell....

That show is nothing more than a series of insanely speculative "questions" with no relationship to reality: "Could it be that aliens interfered with the development of hominid evolution and helped the Egyptians build the pyramids......." Possible? Sure, but that possibility is roughly equivalent to the likelyhood of monkeys flying out of my butt as I type this..............and sure enough, no monkeys.
