I definently agree that a next gen version of AVPE would be nice! I am excited for Colonial Marines. I kinda liked the AVP3 game, but i agree the predator could of used some work. A game where you can be an Alien and can customize it to look how you want to look while playing would be nice, especially having all the parts of each alien in each of the films so you can like mix the xeno with different colors, textures and different looks from all the alien films and the spinoffs. Like have the head from the first film, have the tail from rez, have the adomin from alien 3. Basically a game where you can play your unique xeno.

@Spartacus, I use final burn alpha as the emulator. cant remember where I got the rom or emulator from to be honest but i do have them one of my hdd's. Need to dig up the HDD its on, I have a few but not sure which one its so i'll mail it over at some point tomorrow, its 2am here and i'll be off to bed soon. What i'd like to see is some kind of marines light gun game, ala time crisis/silent scope style.

I got it working perfectly forgot to reboot after I installed the alpha emulator and it works fine now...wow, pretty nice game...for that day and age, you know what I want today, but this is inf act the best one I have seen so far but that ain't saying much...I like it though, it's very cool and I am having fun using the predator as you suggested and kicking ass especially with that twirl the batton move and the jump and drop fire move and the shoot ice pellets from his head move..lmao...thanks for this man...fun fun fun...hahahaha.

I think what I wrote earlier applies here A Ps3 game that has a third person option, all of Gigers art, and all of the Aliens life cycle creatures plus i want it to have massive replay value like Archam City does.

I do think that *could* be a Yutani logo. I've thought that since those images came out... But, from info I got from an online survey months back, and then TWICE more recently before the trailer leak (after those times I posted it because at first I didn't trust what the survey site sent me)... I pretty much know Weyland will feature. I am 99.9% certain Weyland is in the movie (leaving that 0.1% in case the survey site was mistaken somehow), and that they launch the Prometheus. But , that doesn't mean Yutani doesn't show up. I'm thinking both could show up as competing entities. Knowing Weyland corp. launches Prometheus leads me to believe the rumors about a second craft called the Magellan could = Yutani's involvement, being more militaristic than exploratory. I've posted the minor spoiler filled synopsis I received a few times and all I can tell you is it's almost guaranteed not BS-- Because they kept sending it with unreleased clips from other movies like movie 43 and American Reunion. I didn't believe it months ago the first time I saw it so didn't post, then when I saw it twice in the same week, before the leaked trailer taken from a survey, with 30-40 or so other descriptions of upcoming movies I took it more seriously and thought back to how I still think that's a Y.

Since in the first Alien the Weylan-Yutani ( weylan and not weyland ) company was the one that owns the nostromo ( it was written everywhere ) i dont think things should change for prometheus..since Scott maybe dont care much about sequels or other things . I think the light blue form clearly a W and the dark blue a Y ...the wings are not only a decoration but also part of the letter . But is also possible that Fox did ask him , on their knees . to not change much things regarding the sequels ...but i doubt that .

The company will be one of the things, if not, the biggest thing that ties this to the Alien Universe. I'm now thinking there could be at least a subplot about how Weyland and Yutani come together over the Jockies, and that the actual Xeno connections will be very minimal truly making this a stand alone story that is kind of a prequel. About entirely different creatures. Unless Ridley has really been pulling our legs the whole time. Not saying Yutani is in it, or that this is a Yutani corporation logo, because I could see it being either a "W" or "Y". It's just kind of weird how the "W" isn't in the middle now... and instead you could see the Y there... I'd still bet any insane amount of money that Weyland corp is in the movie.

I Forgot about the Magellan, So maybe the Prometheus is a Yutani Corporation vessel geared towards scientific endevour (Idris Elbas t-shirt suggests he's a Yutani employee and we know he's a captain, and the Japanese are scientifically minded) and the Magellan (named after Ferdinand Magellan, a spanish explorer) is a Weyland Industries vessel also geared towards scientific endevour (but being an American based company means it has a military presence), or possibly a shuttle attached to the Prometheus. This suggests to me that this may be a joint mission between the Yutani Corporation and Weyland Industries. Thus the crew will be composed of both Weyland and Yutani employees, adding inter-corporate competition and tension to the mix, while at the same time acting as a precursor to the merging of the two companies.

Right, or as rivals eventually within this movie. Only implied at coming together later, with one being the side that tries to get greedy and steal the fire. I've been thinking about what the Magellen historically set out to do: Find a faster route to the spice islands so Spain could get the resources back and forth faster, but also does the first circumnavigation of the world, or in this case to a distant galaxy to secure resources/tech/the fire of the gods.

What do we know about Benedict Wong's character 'Ravel'? Could he be a Yutani operative/liason officer? Maybe even the captain of the other ship?

I dunno but even Pearce could be, then there's Katie Dickie or whoever, I still haven't heard anything about who she's playing Edit: I see imdb has been updated so apparently Pearce and Dickie are out. Didn't see that news about their names yet.

@ Snorklebottom. How you can say that "Proof beyond doubt that Prometheus only features the Yutani Corporation" Where? Where's the proof? You dont see the "W" because you either dont want to see it or your just not looking hard enough. The gaps in the logo re[resent the "W" and the triangle represent the "Y". Keep looking.

@ EP, So when the companies merge the Weyland representatives say "Sure, we have no problem with our patented logo being rescinded into the 'gaps' between your logo." I think not. If apple and microsoft merged would microsoft be happy for the merged company logo to be a small window shaped leaf on apples "apple". I think not. We have seen Weyland industries Logo in AVP, we have seen Weyland-Yutani's Logo in Aliens and Alien 3, but we have not seen Yutani's logo yet... til now.

My problem comes from if that is a Y in the middle with a W. We've been told by Ridley before that it would have just been Weyland back then. Or "Weylan" if they are going with that spelling. My source has it as Weyland and just Weyland alone in the spelling. I can see the W but I can also see the Y. But early on, when it was still the untitled prequel and in Ridley's commentary on the subject, we were told it would just be Weyland back then. Maybe something changed. Maybe my source was off on the spelling, or left out the -Yutani part. But what was mentioned about the Captain is exactly what I'm thinking. Affiliated with the military back on Earth more than the rest of the crew and Weyland as a company.

Dickie is clearly part of the crew ...we see her watching the egg along noomi ...no images about PEarce yet ... btw are you so sure that Ridley care much about that WY thing ? I think hes more interested in telling a great story instead of having to follow bureocratic things that 4 so so prequels created .

I think there is a good point here with Y and W. It might make sense because I reckon there must be two ships in the movie. One scientic and one non-scientic (for want of a better word). If you look at the trailer and photos there seem to be the crew using flame throwers yet the cast list includes merceneries. Merceneries generallly carry guns etc. I wonder if the second ship is a Y ship with the mercenaries and they make a play to grab the secret begin humanity or terraforming and things get ugly?

I wouldn't believe it being spelled that way if I hadn't read it in a survey that way. You can go back through my old posts if you want to find the slightly extended synopsis contained in that survey. I absolutely believe it to be true, as Dark Knight Rises info and some other movie info I have turned out to be true. Like I said though, they could have part of the name wrong. I copied it exactly before I posted it here and on AVPGalaxy explaining how I got it, before the trailer got leaked.

In response to the logo we've seen in Prometheus, I too can see a 'w' and a 'y' Maybe Weylan bought out Yutani, in a hostile takeover sort of way and incorporated their logo for advertising reasons?

Snorkel.. I think you have your argument completely the wrong way around.. Plenty of people have pointed out the alternatives so i don't need to.. but i'm going to.. the stylised yutani Y would have been stylised (by the Aliens art department, remember this is a film, not real life) to fit behind the W. not the other way around, no one would create a stylised Y like that without reason, the reason being to fit behind a W. In the hypothetical universe of Alien, then surely a premerger logo would be a plain Y or Yutani. what you're looking at there is a stylised W. Think old school stencils that, say, the military (not the USCMC) used to use for crates etc.

In some of the EU material, and hints/names of the groups in supplementary material, + background info that comes mainly through unused Alien 3 scripts, it's revealed various multinational corporations once each ruled a section of the Earth long before the events on LV-426. Some of these corporations united together under one side or the other: the three world empire on one side and U.S.S i.e. the colonies/colonial marines, the allied worlds on the other. With the union of progressive peoples featured in Gibson's unused Alien3 script coming about later somewhere in between, but I think they might be the three world empire at a later date. The point I'm making is I think we might see some of these things mentioned, or taking shape if Fox/Ridley wants to explore the company/universe connections subtly for us hardcore fans. I think it'll end up that both companies back on Earth are left mystified as to what happened to their crew members (sometime after Prometheus has ended) however, they do receive the knowledge that begins to unlock the terra-forming tech and some info about the Jockies. After that maybe both companies have to come together to have any sort of clue what to be on the lookout for in the future (with help of a partial recording of Jockey language, crew records, or info gathered from an android etc like some have predicted). Regardless of whether it is Weyland/weylan or Yutanis logo (we will find out in six months) we have collectively deciphered that high likeliness that the two companies either compete or collaborate on the mission in the film. From the films title we can either assume that we follow the Prometheus in the competition, or that the Prometheus is the main vessel in the colaboration. Either way it is a clever twist on the corporate paranoia theme that was central to the story of Alien. However, from a design point of view I attest that the logo is a Yutani only logo, and that the arguement that "the gaps make up the W" is IMO very weak indeed. Again, we will find out in six months, when I will either be proved wrong or right as to my speculation.

Tec-B, If you can't argue intelligently don't try. I might be new to these forums, but I am no forum virgin. If you want to prove me wrong find me a corporate logo where the "gaps" make up part of the logo in the same way. The W in the gaps is merely coincidental, and probably intended to cause debates such as this one until the films release.

Actually, I'm newer than you, and neither am I. I wouldn't be the grammar police either as my typing is piss poor. If you want intelligent debate please refer to my remarks about "obvious and conceivable" on the other thread we posted on.
