Alien Earth Season 2 officially begins filming this May and with a little over a month to go, chatter on the network is beginning to pick up. Series lead actress Sydney Chandler was recently asked about her return as Wendy in the next season at SXSW by The Direct and she revealed that while filming is scheduled to begin very soon, she hasn't yet read a script. She also elaborates on her relationship with the Xenomorphs – insisting they’re not dogs – despite calling, petting and interacting with them like dogs throughout Alien Earth Season 1. Sydney considers Wendy an apex predator as well, like the Xenomorph, and wants to see her character evolve in tandem with the Xenomorphs – adding that she's not sure which will become more terrifying:

Unfortunately I have not been able to read scripts yet. I want to explore the fear and equality of danger. I want to see her afraid and see what pushes her boundaries, because right now, she’s an apex predator as well. So to play that line, they’re not dogs. They are terrifying and you can’t understand their qualities. And so I want to see if she becomes more terrifying, or they do.

Alien Earth season 2 is headed to Pinewood Studios in May to begin filming. We reported last month that production was underway with crews setting up in Pinewood in preparation.
