I think Amanda is a special case. I agree that Ripley should be done, but Isolation was really tight and Amanda was well developed. If the franchise does an Alien 5 style off shoot, it already has the foundation of a good story and solid character. I can also see your point about erasing traces of Ripley though.
Those are all outstanding. I never saw the bio mechanical trees before. I had to LOL a little on seeing everything and the first pic being looked really messed up except for a clearly defined tushy!
The rating may be different. People are more jaded now it seems. No one seems scared about gore. It's something to consider. I think it would be ok as long as no human genitalia or bare female chests are not shown. I am not sure Disney would be down with that.

Hey DK - I would be ok with that man !! An open universe with many beings (or at least another 1) could only spark interest. I just waiting on confirmation. would we be informed if they scrapped the idea do you think or just hear nothing ??

Or go big budget and have Akien toys in Disney shops. Say 12 Cert.

it wouldn't bother me if it wasn't in English with subtitles but like I said, having them start out in their native tongue and then morph it into English saves people moaning about having to read subtitles.

it would be logical to assume the engineers colonised other worlds. give mankind FTL travel and that's probably what we will do. it gives the species more chance of long term survival as if ur species it stuck on one planet that comes under attack, theres a chance the species would be destroyed. unless of course theres something in their religion or civilisation that prevents them from doing so but I also hate the idea that they were only on planet 4. their something different in the franchise and would be a shame to have them wiped out. plus if their wiped out by the end of the prequel series, no one can use them in future films
daliens, I refuse to believe that all of the Engineers in the universe were on that planet and living in that little city. It makes no sense. It was either one of their worlds or more accurately cities or a creation/seeding of the engineers.

Yes, but with whom to talk in English? On Planet 4 all is left are some human rotting human bodies, a preserved vivisected one and an offline robot, which they should restore with no knowledge of binary logic (according to David). On the other planet it is very doubtful that they will be willing to speak to anyone.

Even the Worm from Prometheus was acid blooded, so it is very likely they have acid for blood.
I was actually saying I don't think the neomorph has acidic blood regardless of where in the body it gestates. we know the facehuggers and xeno have acidic blood but being that the neomorph is a a different species it wouldn't automatically have acidic blood as a characteristic. im basically giving my opinion on the end question in the first paragraph of the op
if the engineers are going to have a decent amount of screen time then theres no reason we cant hear them talking in their native tongue to begin with then have it morph into English after a few minutes.
Well the blood of the facehugger which attached on Lope did burn his face, so it's most likely the adult one has it also. But shooting this thing in a spaceship was very reckless.
As for the purpose, maybe it was helping with the reattachment of lost limbs.

You mis my point however. Invented languages are no more stupid than ancient ones. If done in an historically accurate manner a film in Latin about Romans would be awesome, but possibly it won't have a wide appeal.

The same logic can be applied to Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ , why make Jesus speak in his native tongue so that american's have to read subtitles... Get over it, I've been watching films with subtitles all my life because English is not my mother tongue.
What is silly however is when mobster talk English with phony Italian or Russian accents, or when I can speak better Hungarian than Olmos in both Blade Runners.
I for one wanted a scientist to talk about the black goo (with or without accents), as the words of the psychopaths can not be trusted.

The made up languages from GoT suck and they were unnecessary in my opinion. You always need an interpreter, it kills the pace of the film.
