Heres a thing that has surprisingly just occurred to me... In the trailer we see the chair rise up from underneath the platform, yet underneath the platform in Alien was the egg chamber. Could this be how the Space Jockey gets Facehugged - An egg opens, out comes the Facehugger and climbs into the chair, chair gets raised, Facehugger sneaks out, Space Jockey takes his place, Facehugger waits and then WHOOP, gotcha.

Hi all, excellent discussion. The SJ chair is the part that fascinates me. What we see in the Prometheus trailer is not the same room that was in Alien. There are large 'hibernation' pods on the floor of the SJ room in the trailer. The size of them makes me think the SJ is already inside the pod or the humanoid behind the "S" in the photo-still is going to enter the pod and increase in size. But why would the SJ bio-suit not be in the same room? Any thoughts? Love this forum.

hi Juxty, I share your love for the villains of the piece, lol. Even some of the worst movies ever made are saved by the grace of the baddie, Phantasm films, for example. and the latter two alien movies. without sigourney and the title creature(no delusions of morality), they would be appalling films in their own rights. still love them though, lol this fresh young high calibre talent Ridley is incorporating is just the edge we need to make Prometheus a success.

The infamous USHBUCK....i hate to say it...I kinda miss his little posts...it was such fun abusing him...really bought out the sadist in all of us...I am sure he secretly enjoys the online abuse...a classic masochist....Mother Theresa would enjoy smacking him!...Tried to be nice to him when i replied to his last post....was curious how he might respond....nothing tho! ....his quite the enigma....I try my best to imagine this type of character in real life..? well Craig, for such a non interesting post, it sure did generate a lot of responses. This Ushbuck guy kind of sounds a lot like me, lol. Misunderstood from the start. He sounds like a right old scallywag, lol With regards to Michael Fassbender's android sexuality, in Alien, wasn't the scene where Ash chokes Ripley a sort of extension of his sexual frustrations towards her, poor chap, it must have been a hard life not having the tackle to tango.
