Here is a question for you [b]@Apollo;[/b] what do you think she gives birth to? I mean, we can see her running from the crashing derelict in the stills. And I would a hazard a guess that that would take place later on in the film? Surely this means that Shaw must survive the birth? It is also worth mentioning that Noomi Rapace was quoted a while ago saying [i]"by the end of the film, she is a real surviver[/i] (in reference to her character, Shaw).

God knows, maybe an egg, sounds strange but i believe the eggs are from the urns that Fassbender picks up. They look like they need baking lol what i mean is they need some more substance to them. remember that shaw can have injuries from the big fall due to the "sand" storm/explosion ... however the "halloway start to mutate and lose control of himself " theory is not totally to discharge .

It's a very interesting theory. Perhaps this is stretching things a little, but when that Alien Harvest script was circulating and we had lots of disimformation, it mentioned a scene of male rape. So the 'truth' in it is that there IS a rape scene, but it's with Shaw? The whole rumour about a giant alien head 'steering' or navigating the ship ended up being partially true; we have the giant head, so with each little bit of disinformation we see a little truth in there somewhere. So perhaps there was some truth in rape appearing in the movie?

I dont think that since there was a male rape scene in a totally fake script there must be also a rape in prometheus ( and it was not from Spaihts ) There was a cat chestbusting in that fake plot ...so we will have a goat chestbusting in prometheus ? :p all the giant head talking came from some leaked photos or news from the set ...and over that they did start to build theories about that giant head . Soon we will have a mix of the giant head's theory and the rape ..im curious to see what sort out ...

What if Shaw gives birth to the big bald blue guy who is seen next to the Space Jockey chair. Maybe that's why he looks so human. Due to the goo stuff and mixture of human DNA.

Looking at the animated gif of the "serpent" creature the more I wonder if it's a total red herring--it looks like it could just be some kind of dust cover being pulled off a piece of equipment. Maybe after they awake from cryosleep and starting operating the ship again. A shape-shifting manta ray as the "monster" will definitely quell my enthusiasm for this movie. Also, the two shots of Shaw could be reversed. The first shot I see bruising and in the second shot I see lots of blood. She could head to medical after some sort of accident or attack covered in blood, and after being treated and recovers she gets sleeps with a fellow crew member after turning to him for comfort. The attack planted some sort of SJ egg, fertilized by human sperm, leading to rapid belly-expanding pregnancy and some sort of hideous birth. OT, but has anyone discussed the significancy of MIchael Fassbender's character with a drop of blood on his finger? Just for promo purposes or does it happen in the movie? What are the implications of a synthetic with blood--a Pinnochio storyline where he uses the urns to become human (remember the trailer shot of him opening the urn) but instead morphs into some type of horrible biomechanical monster?

Andrew, i also see the possibility that the goo and david might create tge protoform xenomorph, As david is already biomechanical. I always thought that thr androids In the alien movies are actually Cyborgs.

Another avenue that maybe hasn't been explored is whether the contents of the ampules can only react with biological material. So, suppose David is only an android without any bio-matter. Maybe the ampule goo is still able to merge with a mess of wiring and white android glop, because the ampule goo is simply not "DNA" as we know/understand it. The pathway to life on Earth is through DNA, but maybe that's no so with life elsewhere in the universe. That is intriguing to me--creating a new lifeform based on something that is not technically alive.

Based on all of the thin and cluttered threads of information we've all been able to gather here, as well as across the web, I don't believe there's a rape...I don't know, it just doesn't fit or feel right for me (Icould be wrong). I get the sense that she somehow comes into contact with something, perhaps the genetic material that's been referenced (I wonder if the gelatinous green thing Fassbender's holding up is that material), and she becomes impregnated. Ultimately, it makes sense to me that the injuries we see in those two pics in particular are the result of two things...one, the sandstorm that completely levels her and two, what has to be a very unpleasant birthing sequence that I would expect happens in a way similar to natural human birth, but far more dangerous and difficult to endure.
