My bets are that this mutant guy is Guy Pearce, I reckon he is also the guy being pulled back by the Engineers on the main pic to this site carrying something in a bag. The engineers then transform him ................

in the other photo pearce have almost no beard .... thats a beard that grow in some months ....and pearce is in the same mission of shaw .....of course everything is possibile but the mutant dont look like him in this photo

Okay, breakdown... 1. This guy, mutated or deformed, attacking his former crewmates. 2. Shaw, presumably having a painfully bloated stomach. 3. Vickers, seemingly going psycho (close up still). 4. Unknown crew members helmet filled with goo, screaming. 5. Unknown female collapsing in front of crewmates. I think our mutant friend is but of the many victims, of something that seems to affect the whole crew, each in its own way. Think Event Horizon, but each crew member is killed off by a different physical/psychological ailment.

snorkel i hope not ..it would be atrocious ...there is nothing less scary than "immagination" monsters ...i want real bad aliens !! the only real fact we have regarding the "enemies" is that something infect/change che crew ( and/or a previous crew )

I was starting to think Event Horizon with some of the details and things we've seen coming out. Now I'm [i]really[/i] starting to worry. of course it is entirely possible that because this is an Alien 'preqeul' with Scott at the helm is in no way what so ever assurance of a film any where near as good as Alien.

misinterpretation, I didn't mean imaginary monsters lol. I'll try to clarify (processing it in my head as I do so)... something infects the crew, as we know, but it infects each of the crew differently, almost intelligently. Almost as if with each infection the "something" learns at a genetic level, mirroring the... DAMN... mirroring the way in which the Alien learns at a genetic level, from its hosts - "Strands of Alien DNA".

what you think about that other scene ( from the theatre trailer ) ? that guy that is like eaten by something and in great pain ? is a mutation ? Do you recognize an actor ?

The guy holding his helmet (not that helmet) as it is smoking? yet another victim, presumably.

Still waiting.... but you all are making this hard. Don't know but he looks like he could be transforming into a spacejockey to me. He has a very elongated head. Maybe his pineal gland is being enhanced haha. His jaw also looks deformed and elongated like the spacejockey's I noticed something the other day with the countdown trailers where you see Vickers running funny. To me it looks like she is trying to undress and is unzipping her sleeve. Why would she do that? Contamination?

Yeah Frantz I was thinking maybe she has to freeze herself. Don't know any other reasons but those why she has to undress in a hurry.

I think this guy is one of the "mercenaries" mentioned in the casting list. I think he just has a beard, and the angle of lighting is distorting the appearance of his facial features. Note that what he's wearing, bears almost no resemblance to any of the other costumes we've seen other cast members wearing in any of the clips.

I actual think that is one and the same guy - something gets inside his helmet and fills it with smoke, he screams, they panic and take his helmet off... but doesn't suffocate???

This is what happens when someone does the obvious and tries on for size one of these biomechanical spacejockey helmets/ severed head. You know someone would do it too , I mean they went to an alien world and played with their weird toys and didn't even bring surgical masks.

I fear! It's even got the yellow grunge in it ..... Well, a half eaten mutton Vindaloo! I bet the Vindaloo monster even looks more lime how we imagine the Space Jockey compared to what we actually get! I'm very concerned and the 'mutant guy' thing is the source :(

That guy with the helmet has some yellow shit eating into his helmet...it's xeno acid blood...or something else is bleeding or spitting out acid...well that's what i get from looking at the pic?...(assuming I am referring to the same pic)

smoke most probably disapated by the time they took the helmet off, or it was the helmet itself that was smoking... Seems to make sense to me... Somehow something gets in the guys helmet, smoke and gunge against the inside of his helmet (maybe coming from himself - puke/condensation etc.), its painful, hes panicking, raises his hands to his helmet, tries to take it off, crewmates run to his aid, trying to stop him removing his helmet, he takes his helmet off, smoke disapates to reveal something happening to his face, crewmates try to comfort him as he screams in agony...

I was looking at that pic again...just now at avpgalaxy... the guy is clutching his helmet and their is plenty of smoke....u can tell that his skin is being burned away by acid.....i'm telling u....that is acid!!!....this poor bastard got in contact with something very closely related to a xeno...no doubt!

xeno doesn't appear until the end. your theory just sounds wrong. they probably threw in that clip just to make you think that. it's something that changes him into a violent big headed mutant. acid doesn't do that. some type of parasite probably.

we think xeno might appear at the end! but yeah, something happens to him, possibly turning him into our psychotic friend at the top of the thread.

There's no way to be sure of anything from what we've seen so there really isn't any point in speculating. All I can tell from what I see is a guy with makeup on his face is jumping off of something at someone while in a wire harness. Maybe he's freaking out because his suit depressurized? Maybe he's been infected with something that alters his mind? Maybe he's a doppleganger sleeper cell alien (like a shapeshifter) that was pretending to be one of the crew? Maybe he's just a dumb guy with makeup on his forehead? Whatever he is, I doubt he's the main villain or creature. We don't know and we can't tell right now.

I was hoping to see the trailer this morning before I went to work but nope, not posted yet. I guess that I will have to wait till after I get off but still excited. I will be spending my Christmas with my beautiful fiance and with her family and playing Arkham City that my dad sent me for Christmas! Cheers my Alien peeps!

Unfortunayely the internet is rather expensive in my country....i simply cannot afford to download this right now....but I will eventually...in the meanwhile i will look at the bootleg one...i can make out just fine for now....actually i am almost more excited about what everyone think of it and i hope their will be plenty of stills.....so come on everyone....show us!

THIS IS 100% GOING TO BE THE BEST FILM MADE BY ANYONE SINCE KUBRIK'S 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY WAS IN 1967-1968. AND THE SOUND OF IT IS GOING TO PLAY A MAJOR ROLE !!!
