that is a standard classification ...i dont think is related specifically to the Prometheus trailer ... its enough that the trailer have one of those three things to get that classification ( violence, coarse language, and/or sexually suggestive scenes ) and basically ...is a PG13 ....

So it's 1min. 03 secs. then, exactly like the 'leaked' version some of us have seen. I'm glad it's being released just as it was, without further tweaks, as that 'leaked' teaser was already perfect, before we eventually get a longer trailer nearer the release. Can't wait to study this teaser in proper detail until then, however!

so tomorrow should be the day ...they say it should be released with another FOX movie ( the sitter ? ).... if not we go to monday 12th for a net release ...and of not to end of december with the darkest hour ....but since is now classified we should be very close

Dude, This is my dream now, I want a Perfect Alien or Prometheus Video game for the PS3. Every single Alien game I ever played has sucked big time. #1-I sound spoiled I know but I really want a game that represents the original atmosphere of the first film and has an option for 3rd person. #2-I want Giger's art in there. #3-I want it to have massive replay value like say the New Batman Game "Archam City". That's all I want. LMAO.

Play that and im pretty sure your previous statement of "Every single Alien game I ever played has sucked big time." will become null and void. Sorry if my post seems a bit aggressive, no offence or anything like that meant. I totally agree with your statement IF the arcade AVSP is discounted, but genuinly it is an amazing game and I seriously suggest you play it. IMO, its the only decent game in the franchise.

The Capcom one, that was fun. That said the 360 one would have been better if you could've hunted better as a Predator, like in the recent Batman games.

@Spartacus, I use final burn alpha as the emulator. cant remember where I got the rom or emulator from to be honest but i do have them one of my hdd's. If you can't find them I could always send them to you, only a few mb in total.

I definently agree that a next gen version of AVPE would be nice! I am excited for Colonial Marines. I kinda liked the AVP3 game, but i agree the predator could of used some work. A game where you can be an Alien and can customize it to look how you want to look while playing would be nice, especially having all the parts of each alien in each of the films so you can like mix the xeno with different colors, textures and different looks from all the alien films and the spinoffs. Like have the head from the first film, have the tail from rez, have the adomin from alien 3. Basically a game where you can play your unique xeno.

What would it be about? What gameplay would it be? What modes such as multiplayer etc. would you include?

Need to dig up the HDD its on, I have a few but not sure which one its so i'll mail it over at some point tomorrow, its 2am here and i'll be off to bed soon. What i'd like to see is some kind of marines light gun game, ala time crisis/silent scope style.

I got it working perfectly forgot to reboot after I installed the alpha emulator and it works fine now...wow, pretty nice game...for that day and age, you know what I want today, but this is inf act the best one I have seen so far but that ain't saying much...I like it though, it's very cool and I am having fun using the predator as you suggested and kicking ass especially with that twirl the batton move and the jump and drop fire move and the shoot ice pellets from his head move..lmao...thanks for this man...fun fun fun...hahahaha.

I do think that *could* be a Yutani logo. I've thought that since those images came out... But, from info I got from an online survey months back, and then TWICE more recently before the trailer leak (after those times I posted it because at first I didn't trust what the survey site sent me)... I pretty much know Weyland will feature. I am 99.9% certain Weyland is in the movie (leaving that 0.1% in case the survey site was mistaken somehow), and that they launch the Prometheus. But , that doesn't mean Yutani doesn't show up. I'm thinking both could show up as competing entities. Knowing Weyland corp. launches Prometheus leads me to believe the rumors about a second craft called the Magellan could = Yutani's involvement, being more militaristic than exploratory. I've posted the minor spoiler filled synopsis I received a few times and all I can tell you is it's almost guaranteed not BS-- Because they kept sending it with unreleased clips from other movies like movie 43 and American Reunion. I didn't believe it months ago the first time I saw it so didn't post, then when I saw it twice in the same week, before the leaked trailer taken from a survey, with 30-40 or so other descriptions of upcoming movies I took it more seriously and thought back to how I still think that's a Y.

Since in the first Alien the Weylan-Yutani ( weylan and not weyland ) company was the one that owns the nostromo ( it was written everywhere ) i dont think things should change for prometheus..since Scott maybe dont care much about sequels or other things . I think the light blue form clearly a W and the dark blue a Y ...the wings are not only a decoration but also part of the letter . But is also possible that Fox did ask him , on their knees . to not change much things regarding the sequels ...but i doubt that .

The company will be one of the things, if not, the biggest thing that ties this to the Alien Universe. I'm now thinking there could be at least a subplot about how Weyland and Yutani come together over the Jockies, and that the actual Xeno connections will be very minimal truly making this a stand alone story that is kind of a prequel. About entirely different creatures. Unless Ridley has really been pulling our legs the whole time. Not saying Yutani is in it, or that this is a Yutani corporation logo, because I could see it being either a "W" or "Y". It's just kind of weird how the "W" isn't in the middle now... and instead you could see the Y there... I'd still bet any insane amount of money that Weyland corp is in the movie.

I Forgot about the Magellan, So maybe the Prometheus is a Yutani Corporation vessel geared towards scientific endevour (Idris Elbas t-shirt suggests he's a Yutani employee and we know he's a captain, and the Japanese are scientifically minded) and the Magellan (named after Ferdinand Magellan, a spanish explorer) is a Weyland Industries vessel also geared towards scientific endevour (but being an American based company means it has a military presence), or possibly a shuttle attached to the Prometheus. This suggests to me that this may be a joint mission between the Yutani Corporation and Weyland Industries. Thus the crew will be composed of both Weyland and Yutani employees, adding inter-corporate competition and tension to the mix, while at the same time acting as a precursor to the merging of the two companies.

Right, or as rivals eventually within this movie. Only implied at coming together later, with one being the side that tries to get greedy and steal the fire. I've been thinking about what the Magellen historically set out to do: Find a faster route to the spice islands so Spain could get the resources back and forth faster, but also does the first circumnavigation of the world, or in this case to a distant galaxy to secure resources/tech/the fire of the gods.

What do we know about Benedict Wong's character 'Ravel'? Could he be a Yutani operative/liason officer? Maybe even the captain of the other ship?

I dunno but even Pearce could be, then there's Katie Dickie or whoever, I still haven't heard anything about who she's playing Edit: I see imdb has been updated so apparently Pearce and Dickie are out. Didn't see that news about their names yet.

I think we have unravelled part of the mystery that is the film Prometheus.
