I'd perhaps get out of this one by citing 'convergent evolution'. For example, you can bet your bottom dollar that if life exists on multiple planets throughout the universe you will definitely find sharks time and again. If the black goo has been around for an eternity, perhaps even before the Engineers, it may be just itching to fulfil its ultimate destiny, so to speak, wherever you find it. That opportunity could have presented itself many times in the past.
Pretty sure at this point you kind of have to view the alien, predator, and avp movies in separate continuities
Ash. Ash can roll up a mean magazine. I hate flies.
Where do you have this from? This is very big, do you know that? I'm havin a hard time trying to read it. I didn't get everything, but this I understood:
"Returning to the notion of integration and biomechanical concerns I would posit that lessons learned here could and should be applied to the ultimative maturation of the Engineers direction if not their literal fate. Through the virus / Xenomorph as glorious synthetic and poetic culmination of the species. And an amusing biblical at that. Though not quite linear due to my own inheritance."
Now the question is only if he wrote that to mock them or if he meant it literally.
At the end btw he talks about a composite chitinous ... I always thought that the alien has some kind of chitin skin. The big bugs in davids lab also seemed to indicate this. Now I know I was right : D
Leave the blood slips man. If you cut anything the chest burster opening arms to David... Only part of the entire movie I don't like.
I just need David, all others expendable
I don't NEED it, but I WANT it
My guess? One of the 2000+ colonists in the freezers.
Ah- the old classic buy it for the kids ployto give to me lol!
That is a cool box though!
Same of course.I had a lot of build up leading to film as i said and was just a little let down initially.Upon second viewing was more fulfilled and satisfied.I love the movie
David will be lead again
The Runner/Dog Alien is the best looking xeno, hands down, just not the CGI versions from the film sadly :(
Tell me this don't look utterly amazing!!

You have a good head on your shoulders. :)
Ati the thing about the blood slipping scene is that it happens twice in a row. if there is only one blood slip witch my version would have it won't seem like a plot device to get them killed.
Timmy the ultramorph - great idea! looking forward and fingers crossed!
That is interesting. I have some xeno figures and the dog is my favorite. It is also nice to see someone else revering the creature from a movie that receives a lot of hate.
Wren- I'm guessing but... collective memory. Passed down generationally, at a genetic level, by the aliens. Almost like a highly evolved form of instinct. An unexplained benefit of the genetic crossing.
(@dk I don't see that screen capture you did in the movie. Of course, there are multiple versions of movies. I've noticed two versions of Alien and two versions of Alien: Covenant. I also noticed two versions of Aliens, yet I haven't found the best version and it's been awhile. Maybe I'm getting Aliens confused with a scene in Alien3. I haven't seen Alien3 in a LONG time, so that may be the case. I haven't really payed attention to different versions in Prometheus since it's not on TV very much. Actually, I don't think it has been on regular TV period. Alight, well, I'm going to watch Alien: Covenant again.)
dk - Ah, Blade Runner 2049 in October! Such a fantastic year!
(I Moon Girl that is a good capture and suggests attraction. It is also interesting to read the actions in the script that may not be in the movie- like the beginning dream sequence- that would have been great! Sig looks quite stunning in this movie) (I need to re watch since it has been over a year. I forgot how much I like Resurrection).
(Perez is so confused and pissed. He's thinking how much bullshit this is)
But it remember. Why? (says Perez)
(@dk Looks like there is an attraction there in that picture. Sigourney Weaver looks good there. Not bad from coming back from the dead. Apparently I'm not the only one that thinks that!)
Nice catch and good pics- I need to re watch BR and look forward to the new one.
'Just Ordered Prometheus in 4K' - Awesome! :)
One of my favorite scenes in the hissstory of cinema!
Just Ordered Prometheus in 4K.
I Moon Girl - Thank you for your ideas.
daliens - Thank you! :D
Ingeniero - 'I provide an empty canvas for Ati to make worthy.'
You are a treasure! :D :D
Ingeniero - I'm glad you included the stills which reveal that the computer shows the lines and the domes first. :)

I have to say though, that would be one unpleasant way to die inhaling melting plastic covered in acid. Burning and suffocating across your eyes, throat + the horror of it.
Take it from someone who works with concentrated acids on a daily basis it, the shit is nasty, slower burning that you think (to start) but incredibly painful - like a cold frostbite kind of burn around it + sharp stinging on the exposure site.
So it is, thank you Ati :) Must just be lighting in some spots that is throwing me off.
I didn't think Ridley would let something like that slip, hes very particular about continuity errors.
Super hero kid movies are like a bad laxative- they just don't move me.
Thank you IRaptus and Ati. Yes, I thought the deleted scene was great too and the CGI was nice (better mutation) dk. This, to myself, was much more impressive than what went into the theater cut with the burnt face.
I watched GoTG 1 and it was ok as popcorn flick but agreed its marketed for kids/teens. Much like the Transformers and Avengers films they are appealing for their bombastic special effects, sounds and quirky silly characters and two dimensions antagonists.
Fun to watch but only skin-deep. Pure entertainment films. Much like the AVPs minus the entertainment rofl.
IRaptus - I did not see your comment, but you got the answer. :D
I actually enjoyed that deleted scene and thought the CGI was great!
