Ingeniero - No, no, no! I just said that because you had mentioned that there were no secrets in the video!
Oram seemed more likable after watching some deleted scenes.
One can only suggest that Milburn was hypnotized by the hammerpede. Maybe it gives off some kind of waves that effect the brain, or its movement is hypnotic, leading Milburn to lose his sense of danger.

Yes Lilly (Svanya). A gift to us.
Can't fault me for searching Ati...I just have to look.
To be honest, they were all likable in my opinion. Yes, that includes Oram. What a horrible fate for a colony ship. I actually felt sorry for those that died.
But if I have to chose then it's David (and Shaw even though she is gone), followed by Walter and Daniels.
Why wouldn't they include David's lab in the VR experience Jonesy?
I'm sure you'll be able to take a tour of it once the Alien: Covenant virtual reality is released.
Correct Thombach. A little bit fluffy in regards to anything we haven't seen before.
Guys, this video is only a teaser. :)
We can find the secrets on the Blu-ray, etc.
That's funny Lilly (Svanya)...I bet it is a painted Rubik's cube.
They did something else too hox...it might have been a painted cube with a good graphics designer to add the glow later.
I thought David would go without saying lol!
As a HUUUUUGE 'Alien' franchise fan, I have to admit... I have not had interest in buying 'A:C' yet, however, I have 'WW' pre-ordered. That being said, I'm glad to see it #1 as that may help it get a sequel.
David by a mile, all the others deserve to die.
Ali81, it is obviously that you are fan of Austin Powers.
You're most welcome Thombach.
"So is that what I see swarming all around the Engineers after David drops the black fluid jars on them?"
To try and answer your question, Kethol has a great topic in regards to the ailment befallen the Engineers David 8 visited here.
You are correct Yog Sothoth.

The many forms of black goo have yet to be shown but the "activation" seen in the urns when David 8 was dropping them on the Engineers below is different from the boiling over disbursement of black goo shown in Prometheus.

"The spores-insects from the mutated fungus are very different to the airborne black goo particles we see floating off the Engineer and/or raining down from David's black goo attack in Covenant."

Yes, the black goo delivery mechanism, quantity, and mutagen-solution type has been quite different in each case.
Kethol, thank you for the compliment. And let me add how ridiculous cool you are for including the map above from the 1970's.

"It is the same map as the Betty and Barney Hill UFO abduction from the 1970s."
That is so great. We all spoke about this months ago and I had never seen this comparison.
"A menu graphic on the DVD/Blu Ray states this is the Zeta 2 Reticuli system, but it is never stated in the movie. Holloway's graphic shows us a ringed gas giant with only two moons, one labeled LV-223. The gas giant in the movie looks very different to the one seen in Alien, so it is not the same planet, just another planet orbiting the same star as in Alien.
Since the Covenant graphic only shows one gas giant orbiting the star, it is not the same solar system as we see in Alien and Covenant. Also, David and Shaw would have been there in no time if it was just a matter of going from one planet to the next in the same system."
Great point again Kethol.
We just couldn't trust David 8 in what he told Dr. Shaw regarding how far the Engineer home world was. It could have been the next planet over and David 8 would have just lied to get her to go to bed.
Alien Covenant #1 video seller:

Got my 4K from Amazon..then stopped at Target and they only had 3 copies!! 4K was gone and only one DVD version and 1 Bluray version. I snagged a Bluray/dvd version.
I think I smell Spam....AsiaCzerwinska yep!
@ hox
Nah dude, you are just drawing bigger circles. We now know what spawned the xenomorphs. It was black goo, made by the engineers, which David infected Shaw with, then mixed her eggs with neomorph DNA. Neomorphs who's life cycle also originated from black goo. We now know the engineers are god-like super tech beings, who either started evolution on Earth or interfered with it at various points by adding their own DNA. The big questions of Alien have now been answered. What mysteries we have left in Prometheus and Covenent are little points of canon only, which add nothing to the full picture or depth of story. I enjoy working out these things cuz I'm a geek who likes to know it all, but my point is...these little things should not be mysteries. Please don't make a bigger circle argument by saying "oh well ultimately everything is a mystery..is there a God?" That's disingenuous.
I agree with your assessment that these new movies have suffered as a result of truncating and removing key scenes that would have otherwise given viewers a more well-rounded experience. As the years go by, I think it's becoming clearer to audiences and studio execs alike that theatergoing is becoming less of a dominating format, so my hope is that once home viewing becomes the primary format for new releases (Netflix has already anticipated this trend, but it will take a while longer for theaters to go the way of VHS and UHF), directors will be under less pressure to deliver material within a certain runtime and let the story breathe. Granted, editing will always be an important facet to the filmmaking process, but with movies that are as complex as Prometheus and Covenant, it would be a game changer to watch something that hasn't been cut up to meet a time cap. One can certainly hope, of course.
Walter and Daniels. Some characters were barely noticeable except for roles in the Prologue.
Thanks for the link. The video was a bit lacking in the secrets area!
@Yog, I strongly disagree. We know diddly-squat about the Engineer civilisation, where they came from, how many strands of society they have, who engineered them, where the goo came from... These are all big questions.
Fassbender is just wonderful. Chris got to meet him, lucky bugger.
I am adding it to my Christmas Wish List.
I am not privy to everything revealed to David on his exploration of Engineer culture on LV 223, the Crossing or Paradise. However there are several reasons I take as clues that they do not believe in a Spiritual afterlife and that death is merely transformation.
1) The acolyte as, a supreme privilege, takes everything he is his essence and delivers it to the planet knowing that the physical manifestation of self will return. One of the elders makes this promise to him in the cut scene. A sacrificial rite at the height of your powers, not to gods, but for creationism itself symbolises a corporeal transformation of everything you are there is no more.
2) LV 223 suggests not a spiritual quest but a biological one. There is no attempt to change mankind through love and compassion which happens in say Tolkien's mythos, created by a deeply religious man, but by Engineering redaction. The headroom was considered correctly as a laboratory in the first instance.
3) The currency of the Engineers was scientific and including a culture of sacrifice and change from sacrifice, there is no sense of the wisdom that belief systems engenders (humbleness, contrition, circumspection, devotion) It was entirely mechanical the acolyte when left to die the most appalling death was entirely unsentimental and the movement of the teardrop ship reflected that.
Charlie was much more right than Elizabeth.
His lab is dope. I wish there will be an Alien Covenant PS4 game where we can explore David's lab and solve the mystery and stuffs.
If the 20th Century Fox video originally tied the flora and fauna seen in David's notes to Origae-6 then Planet 4 may have been the original target all along. The video was later edited to remove the title and implied link.
got mine at target yesterday.
great work. espeicially the letters.
I like tom hardy. great choice.
daliens hicks is the marine who is sort of ripleys love intrest but not really. he is also the one who teaches her how to use the m41a pulse rifle.
Baywatch being no.1 on iTunes
#seriously?
I think that an ideal version of the film would be about 2 hours and 35 minutes. It could add almost 95% of the promotional footage into the movie Plus alot more suspense inbetween deaths more stuff with the neomorphs and have the final battle with the xenon on the cvenant more intense and alot longer.
Matt Damon actually would be a good choice for Hudson lol
