The Xenomorphs, Space Jockey and Giger's Involvement

The most amazing thing about the video is that I had never seen any of the design work he did until i found this (a couple of months ago). Very cool!

Exactly I wish to see in Prometheus, new designs from Giger for some original forms of xenomorphs which will not be spawns from human host then some other species (Space jokey) or maybe an original nativ form of creatures from their natural environment....but who knows...maybe Redley will persuade Giger to take activ role in designing of creature because as I hear, Giger is not in good realtions with Fox...will see...

I think i remember from the extra features on 'Alien' that Ridley Scott divided conceptual design concepts between various artists in order to get a degree of differentiation and continuality in the final appearence of the movie. Everything 'monster' was Giger, as was the the space jockey and the space jockeys ship. I guess this gives both creatures very similar origins. Ridley loved Gigers work, and ignored studio pressure to change the design of the Alien, and that was when he had only one movie to his name! No-one is going to 'make' him do something he doesnt want to now, and as such I like to think Gigers involvment will be core to the movie. Do we know which other artists are involved with the conceptual design this time round

for me just having Giger there, which was a MASTERFUL move by Ridley to begin with and I expect nothing less, ever, from him....guarrentees this film will look awe inspiring. that combo...Scott-Giger"...in any amount...can only make this thing shine like a diamond. this one is going to shine so bright it's gonna leave a long long trail of dust in it's wake IMO. for me this is a "CANNOT MISS" project based soley on the fact that these 2 men are doing it. and the first thing, incidently that popped into my head when they said Scott was thinking about doing this, was this..."I hope he gets H.R. Giger again". I still have a Zeppelin Bootleg album from late 79-80 from KNEBWORTH with his artwork all over it. When I look at it now all these years later it still looks so perfectly original. Gigers work truly is...ART... and so is Scott's cinematic visions. Ya put those 2 together and BANG...ATOMIC BOMB !!!

I can't wait to see teaser trailer for this movie! Maybe I'll have to wait until February for the SuperBowl perhaps. Either way, June 8 will definitely be a special day and not just because it's my birthday!!!

I really want to see the ships, the Nostromo is my favorite in the alien franchise. Giger should pull out all the stops in prometheus.

i just watched the original alien trialer from 79 and it reminds me so much of the first trailer for this movie. its almost uncanny
