Origins

Alien origins seem to be a good topic for discussion on this forum, and I was reading one in which people were considering which aspects of the later alien films may reoccur in Prometheus. Theres alot of ideas revolving around the aliens being bioengineered weapons, but from the alien summary for the movie, we can conject that the idea of inherited form, introduced in Alien 3 is continued. So the developing alien has its physiology influenced by the genetic make up of the host organism. Some people dont like Cameron's addition of the Queen, but i think the source of the eggs must be explained. I like the bio-weapon idea though, and the similarities in the design of the space jockey and alien (both by Giger) suggest that they are closely related. Since the Queen lays the eggs, is it not resonable to assume that in fact, the Queen alien (or something like it) is the bioengineered weapon, rather than her offspring. Big aliens are said to feature in Prometheus, are they organisms incubated in space jockies, or Queens, or something else?
